A/N: This is just a scene that's been in the back of my brain for a while. Review!! :)

Kotoko bit her fingernails, pacing up and down the cramped bathroom.

Thirty seconds left.

She looked over at the little stick again, just in case it had revealed the results early.

Twenty seconds left.

They were already married, so it wouldn't be scandalous in society, but could they really handle it? Kotoko glanced over again, sighing slightly when she saw it was still blank.

Ten seconds left.

"Kotoko-san!"

There was a knock at the door, but she didn't answer.

Zero seconds left.

Her breath hitched and she picked up the stick with shaking hands. Kotoko stared at the small screen, and PREGNANT stared right back at her.

"Kotoko-san!"

There were more knocks, and they were much louder this time.

Her lips were shaking, and Fujioka Kotoko, as strong as was, knew she was about to cry.

"KOTOKO-SAN!"

Ryoji didn't even bother knocking this time. Instead, he just threw a kick at the door, sending it straight to the floor. Kotoko tried her best to look disapproving, but she ended up in a fit of giggles instead. Ryoji looked at her, pouting.

"Kotoko-san, what are you doing in here?" he asked. "I was worried."

"You didn't have to break down the door," Kotoko chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Isn't a woman allowed to take a little longer in the bathroom if she feels like it?"

"But you didn't answer my calls," Ryoji sighed. "You really worried me, Kotoko-san."

She got to her feet and walked over to her husband, her laughs morphing into a genuine smile. Ryoji pulled her against him with a shake of his head.

"I just don't want to lose you," he told her. "You know that."

"Mm, I know that," Kotoko nodded. "But…"

She left her thought unfinished and turned around to kiss him lightly.

"But what?" he asked.

Kotoko let her hand run over her stomach for a few seconds before looking back at Ryoji.

"You need to stop busting down doors," she said softly.

"You already said that," Ryoji reminded her, pulling her closer.

"Well, I don't want our child to grow up in a dangerous environment," Kotoko informed him with a wink.

His jaw dropped and he stared at her in confusion and tentative elation.

"You mean?" Ryoji said excitedly. "You? Me? Baby? Ours? Child? Parents? Family?"

Kotoko grinned as he leaned down to look at her stomach.

"Hello there, Ryoji Junior-chan," he whispered.

Kotoko bent down to meet his eyes.

"There is no way I will name my child that," she said firmly, shaking her head.

"Kotoko Junior-chan?" Ryoji offered.

She shook her head in amusement.

"We're going to have a baby!" Kotoko exclaimed, hugging him happily.

"Ah, the pros of falling in love with a woman," Ryoji mused, gently wrapping his arms around her.
