Awareness came to me slowly in a soft, comfortable, casual waking. I had such very pleasant dreams I did not really want to leave my slumber. I could still feel the effects in my flushed skin and almost in those particularly affected areas. I knew I wore only a satisfied smile as I pushed myself out of bed and to the bathroom to pay heed to nature. I knew the few steps so well I did not bother to open my eyes. That, and I wanted to hold on to the dream images as long as possible. I let out a pleased little sigh.

Maybe I should drink that wine more often if that's what comes of it….

In thinking of the wine I also noticed the morning after effects, what felt like fuzz on my teeth. Yuck. Still in the dark, I found my toothbrush and tooth paste and took care of the problem. Oh, so much better.

I drifted back to my bed intent on snuggling down into the warm sheets and trying to get the dreams to come back. Sure, I could get up and stay up, but it was only the second day of an extra long weekend, and I didn't have to so why bother when much more pleasant pursuits could be had.

As I reached for my pillow a deep voice rumbled, "You're looking pleased with yourself."

My eyes flew open in surprise, trying to confirm what my ears had heard. Sure enough, there floated two silvery orbs looking right at me. But I still wasn't convinced. Maybe I was just dreaming I was awake thinking about dreaming. Oh no, let's not go down that path. Would he vanish if I tried to touch him?

I crawled onto the bed and reached my hand out only to have it caught and used to pull me into an aggressive, demanding kiss that curled my toes and left me breathless. I tasted peppermint and a touch of alcohol and couldn't help the giggle.

"What's so funny?" he asked.

"You been hitting someone's sweet spot?"

He chuckled. "Only yours."

"Well, I certainly can't deny that," I said with a chuckle of my own. Oh yeah, he'd hit every damn one of them, played me like a fiddle 'til I was all played out. Looked like he was wanting to play some more.

He trailed the fingers of one hand down my side and over the swell of my hip. "You seemed surprised to see me. Did you think I was just a figment of a wine enhanced imagination?"

I nodded as I ran my fingers over his rock hard …pecs. "Pretty much."

"Glad I stayed then." It was practically a purr and raised gooseflesh everywhere.

I was probably being a fool but I had to ask, "Um, not that I mind, but, why did you, stay, I mean? You could have left me thinking I just had one hell of a wet dream."

In a dulcet tone full of suggestion and nuance he responded, "Can you think of nothing?"

I said the first thing that popped into my head, "Breakfast in bed?"

His laugh was rich and full. "And what are you planning on having for breakfast?"

Remember that lascivious grin? Yup, had it again. I licked my lips and eyeballed him like a choice piece that he was, "More like, where should I start?"

Then he laughed big, and I felt it down into my bones. I grinned like a fiend, still trying to figure out where to start, 'cause, damn, but there's a whole lot of gorgeous man-flesh there. Felt like a kid in a candy store with no spending limits.

Then he said, "And you had to ask why I stayed? Who could turn down that kind of appreciation?"

So I started with his mouth and the taste of peppermint flavored alcohol and began to work my way down, down along that strong jaw. The pulse at his neck sped up as I caressed it with my tongue, and he growled low in his chest.

At some point, I heard him say, "Since you got to start, I'm going to finish."

And finish me he did, over and over and over again.
