They had him caught. A circle of Black Dragons surrounded him, making his little-known secret of being claustrophobic go haywire. He recognized some of the faces. Frank, of course. Alex, and Maya, and Tommy, and a few others.

No time for words; his karate skills kicked in and he realized they weren't skills anymore. They were instincts that every warrior had to possess.

After all, it was survival of the fittest.

He scanned through the enemy quickly and landed on a boy who was much smaller than the rest.

Jumping up, he kicked him in the stomach, and before he had time to react, he was flying through the air.

Unfortunately, the rest of the Black Dragons were quicker to react to his attacks. Tommy grabbed his arm and flipped him.

Jack didn't know what was wrong with him. His usual abilities didn't seem to

be working today, and honestly, he was panicking.

His arm ached from being twisted and his back stung from the rough landing.

Jack finally found the voice that had been stuck in his throat earlier.

"Guys, I get the idea. Alright? I'm leaving."

He stood up with some struggle and started walking away, but was stopped when Frank laughed. And not in a good way.

"Why, Jack? Your precious friends can't save you? Shame. But, you know, I don't think we're finished with you just yet."

He tried to quicken his pace, but with his injuries and the uneven, gravelly ground, it made it nearly impossible.

One of the guys he didn't know picked him up roughly and deposited him by Frank's feet.

Sure, he was awful at karate, but when a defenseless boy is sitting beaten-up in front of you, it isn't that hard to place a decent kick or mediocre punch.

He didn't get to give many.

After his first (awful) punch, he was knocked out by a plank of wood, courtesy of one Kim Crawford.

The other Black Dragons were in too much shock too fight her. Ha. As if they would want to.

They quickly scurried off. Kim kneeled by Jack, brushing some of his hair out of his face.

"K-Kim?" He croaked.

"Shh, I'm here, Jack. I'm here."

His chocolate eyes fluttered open completely, staring up at Kim with gratefulness.

"You took care of them?" He asked slowly.

Kim managed a small smile, trying to hide her worries. She had been terrified when she'd first seen Jack laying on the ground, motionless.

She continued to stroke his hair, because it took off some of her stress and he didn't seem to mind it.

"Thank you, Kim. F-for everything."

She nodded softly.

And she couldn't help it. She was staring. She went from his amazing eyes to his flawless lips, and, after a while, realized he was doing the same thing to her.

So she did what she'd wanted to do for years. She leaned in, and kissed him.

It didn't meet her expectation. It flew way passed it, and Kim knew this was the way it was supposed to be.

When she pulled away, she noticed Jack's ear-to-ear grin, and figured she probably had one too.

So, kinda OOC, so sorry about that. I've wanted to post a Kick one for awhile now, so I hope you enjoyed!
