Prologue:

The blood covered young man kneeled, gently taking his princess' hand. "My love," he began, eyes closed and voice soft and earnest. "I would destroy the world for you. I would kill for you, and I would die for you."
He looks up, the scars covering his eyes becoming more noticeable. The princess' voice hitched slightly at the sight, more over the sight of her lover's scars rather than the how gruesome it was, and the man continued. "Though the people might despise me, though my friends and family may hate me, though the world may be against us, I have sworn my heart to you and you alone."
The princess' hand had a slight, uncontrollable tremble as the words she never thought she would hear came from the man's smiling mouth. "I love you, Azula."
