I slowly carried my daughter to her bed, not wanting to wake her. I couldn't help but run my fingers through her hair; it looks so much like Edward's. Perhaps that is why she is so perfect. It makes sense, after all. How could such a god-like creature like Edward produce anything less than a goddess? As I thought more and more about it, the more my conclusion made sense. Her musicality, her long bronze hair, her crooked smile, her protectiveness of those she loves, and even her power come from Edward.
I have the perfect husband, and because of him the perfect daughter.

I watched my daughter dance in graceful circles with my love as I played the piano. It was a beautiful picture; a mother and daughter bonding, blissfully unaware of the world around them. I stopped playing, turning around so that I could watch them easier. However, they must not have been quite as unaware as I thought, as two sets of eyes, one set golden, one set chocolate, looked at me questioningly. As I looked into Nessie's eyes, it struck me how much she is like her mother. All of the things I love most about Bella are plain to see in my baby girl- her chocolate eyes, her gentle blush, her stubbornness, and her silly but precious worry for others.
I have the perfect wife, and because of her I have the perfect daughter.

It's strange how much having Nessie in the house reminds me of my baby boy. I try not to think of it, of him, for Edward's and Carlisle's sakes, but sometimes I can't help but compare. I think all babies smell alike; she has that same smell of freshness and baby powder. But even though I lost my baby, and I would bring him back in the blink of an eye, I have gained so much through his loss. I have Carlisle, and all of my 'sons' and 'daughters'. But Nessie is different. She will truly grow up with us, is born into our family rather than adopted. She's already picking up "family traits". She's as bookish as Carlisle, already reading Tennyson. She's as silly as Emmett, as girly as Rosalie, and loves to play dress up as much as Alice. She is like Jasper in her, well I guess formalness is a way to say it. Her first instinct is politeness, and then the Emmett in her takes over. But I wouldn't have it any other way. She is taking all of our best qualities, and twisting them into one perfect child.
I have a perfect family, and because of them I have the perfect granddaughter.

Nessie and I are playing hide and go seek. She's so cute, strangely mature enough to realize that I could see her no matter where she went in this room, as there aren't really any hiding spots. Pouting, she reached out and "told" me that we needed to go somewhere so she could actually PLAY. I gave her one of my infamous grins, and scooped her up, her laughing music to my ears. Her laugh matches Bella's, and making Nessie laugh gives me even more joy than I got making Bella laugh when Edward left. Crap, the leech probably heard that. Well, Edward, hear this. I don't blame you, not anymore. I don't like what
you did, but you got Nessie here. Any guy who can do that is at least halfway decent in my book. Besides, there's too much of you in Nessie for me to hate you. She's got your musical ability, grace, and expressions, and she's Bella in her lovingness, eyes, and stubbornness.
I've got the perfect girl, and from her I got the perfect family. Even if they are leeches.
