Yumi looked out the window of his faded blue pickup truck. The wind whipped at her long black hair and her pale face, making her blue eyes water slightly. The teen beside her chuckled as he watched his girlfriend in his peripheral vision. The two teens were out by a lake, in the middle of nowhere, just sitting in his truck, listening to the radio. Yumi leaned forward slightly and shut off the stereo.

"Something wrong baby?" the teen boy asked, his dark chocolate brown eyes showing concern.

"I was just thinking, Ulrich." Yumi replied, not wanting to meet his eyes. She knew if she looked into his eyes, she'd lose all trains of coherent thought and all she'd want to do is kiss the living daylights out of him. Not that she didn't want to do that on a daily basis, but she wanted to talk to him.

"About?" Ulrich prodded her, wanting answers. What if she wants to break up with me? What if I'm suddenly not good enough? Thousands of thoughts flooded his mind.

"Well, most other couples seem to have a song. And we don't." Yumi said. Ulrich thought for a while, thanking God that he had jumped to conclusions prematurely.

"Yumi our song is... that slam that your screen door makes. It's the way you laugh; god, I love it when you laugh, it's so beautiful. When I sneak out to your house and tap on your window. It's the way you talk all soft and sultry because it's late and your mama doesn't know we're on the phone. Our song is our first date, when I finally got the nerve to ask you out, and we didn't kiss. That's our song, and no one will have one like it. We're unique, Yumi." Ulrich started his truck up and left the beautiful scene unfolding before him like a flower. Ulrich and Yumi rode to her house in silence. Not a bad silence, but a comfortable one. Neither felt like they needed to talk.

Later that night, Yumi was praying, something she did rarely. "God, could you play it again? Please? Amen." She then drifted off to sleep.

A few days later, Yumi walked up her front steps and sighed moodily as she rummaged through her bag for her house key. To say today was a bad day was like saying dirt was old. First off, her favorite pair of black skinny jeans were dirty beyond wear, so she ended up wearing a green miniskirt and black leggings, much to Ulrich's liking. She then proceeded to lose her math homework and took a zero on the assignment, failing a pop quiz in science, spilled her lunch all over herself on accident, and Xana attacked.

Once she got into the house, she tossed her bag on the couch, then started upstairs to her bedroom. When she got upstairs, she saw a lone black rose petal on the top of the stairs. Yumi opened the door to her room; all she saw were black rose petals covering her floor, her bed, and her dresser. On her pillow was a note. "Dear Yumi, I love you. I hope this cheers you up. I also hope that you can forgive me for skiving off of lunch, and not going to help fight him. Love, Ulrich." Yumi smiled as she read the slightly mangled words.

Two days later, Yumi found herself listening to the radio obsessively. She had heard every album; heard all the songs. She kept waiting for something she liked better than her and Ulrich's song. She never did find one.

A few months later, she and Ulrich were taking another drive to the lake when an idea hit Yumi.

"Hey, Ulrich?" Yumi asked.

"Yeah, babe?"

"Do you happen to have a pen and a napkin or something?"

"Yeah, in the glove compartment." Yumi grabbed a Sharpie and a couple of napkins.

"Could you tell me our song again?" Ulrich smiled and told her while she wrote it down.

Okay, so this is my first story in forever, especially in the Code:Lyoko fandom. Any comments/corrections would be highly appreciated. I do take requests. Please review. Thanks!! Oh yeah, sorry it's so short. It was three pages written out by hand.
