Disclaimers: I still don't like doing it even after disappearing from the net for a very long time, but I don't really want to get sued, so I don't own Evangelion. There.

Author's Notes: Hey, it's been a while, or rather, it's been a long time actually. School work and exams are weighing me down, so I don't really have much of a choice here. Anyway, I wrote this little piece out of a sudden impulse, and it may seem weird in several places (which I'm sure they definitely do, no matter how I see it), and I was like, "Well what the heck, I'll just share it out anyway". And here it is. It's a little different from my other drabbles since it doesn't connect whatsoever, I don't know, just sayin'.

May We Rest In Our Eternal Eden

"On the other side of this world, I'll be waiting for you."

That was what she had said to the boy, before everything that was her existence faded into nothing. When she was horribly massacred by the white embodiments of sin that was SEELE's abominations, he was called upon to finish what she had not.

Fueled by vengeance and rage, and a heart that screamed at his loss, a heart that disobeyed anything else but his thirst to rip apart the very thing that took his love away from him, he struck with unholy conviction; each strike heavier than each, each one with more grief and despair.

And then everything was white, and then a mesh of colors and sceneries, and then he stood on a field of flower, the soft breeze accentuated with the vague smell of greenery being enough to gradually calm his raging soul, to tell him that everything was over now.

Out of the corner of his eyes, a mop of bright red hair caught his attention, and he couldn't help but smile softly at the owner, lovingly waiting for him at the edge of the field, hands raised to welcome him to their eternal Eden.

His story never ended; it was just beginning.
