It's another great day in Monsters Inc, and Sulley is seen on the Laugh Floor smiling on how things work with laughter being used as an alternative power source in the monster world. In fact, it's more powerful than screams. It felt good, indeed. So good that the energy crisis in this world has been finally solved.
"Sulley..." Mike calls for his best friend.
"Oh, Mike! I was just..." that got his attention.
"You won't believe who came here at this very moment."
It was none other than Abigail Hardscrabble.
"Dean Hardscrabble!" Sulley gasped. "What are you doing here?!"
"I was surprised that you two found an alternative source of energy for our world, so I came to check things out," Hardscrabble admitted, while showing the two the newspaper relating to the events.
"Oh..."
"And please, call me Abigail. There's no need for formality. After all, we're old friends."
"Right..."
She looked at the Laugh Floor, seeing monsters preparing their comedy to make kids laugh instead of scaring them. They entered the doors from the human world to begin their act, and they went returned, being happy to make their targeted kid laugh enough to fill out the gauge that is attached to the door.
Needless to say, she's quite surprised on how they're handling things from here on out. At the same time, she's quite impressed that she made a small smile. Laughs are more powerful than screams.
"Um, Abigail. About what Waternoose did..." Sulley started.
"Sullivan. I never liked that guy, okay? He's paranoid, he's greedy, he's delusional. That guy's the real monster of the story. I understand his motive, but his actions are insane, especially towards the human children. It's good to know they're not toxic. I'm just glad that you and Wazowski have exposed him for the criminal that he is, which got him in prison where he won't be getting out of there anytime soon," Hardscrabble said her negative opinion on the former CEO.
"That's good to hear," Mike commented.
"Anyway, I also came here to tell you two that because of your heroism, Monsters University will be reconstructing its Scaring Department into its very own Laughing Department where monsters will be trained with different methods on how to make human children laugh," she said the additional news. "It's ironic, don't you think? For someone like me who doesn't do funny did something that will provide future monsters the motivation to make their comedy acts."
"Yeah, I see that."
"Come for a visit sometime, and tell about your heroic story to the rest of the campus, compared to the papers."
"Oh, don't worry, Abigail. We will," Sulley agreed.
She parted ways with her former students, being proud of their recent achievement.
Another's Note: What do you think? Imagine how impressed Dean Hardscrabble is with Sulley as the new CEO of Monsters Inc, as well as her opinion of Waternoose.
