Hello! How are you guys today? I hope everything is all and well, so! You may be wondering what in the world is that description all about! Well, let me go into depth! So, I have seen a TON of Doki Doki Literature Club fanfics, which are all amazing of course, but! Something I haven't seen and I doubt has really been thought of! So, I really like fantasy type settings and I love DDLC soooo I decided, hey! Let's combine the two! If you couldn't see, this is a double pairing of Sayori and the OC, and Yuri and Natsuki. If you love fantasy and Doki Doki Literature Club, I have faith you will like this! So, let me introduce you to the OC and the girls! (Yes, I know nothing is accurate in anyway, shape, or form, I just had to make it so it fit the story)

Vida, Female Age- 20: Vida is a knight with a status of Caption Vida of Division 18, in King Tomah's army, in the Kingdom of Erieloth. She is outgoing and extremely gentle and polite contrary to what one would expect from a captain. She has faced quite a lot of adversity in her life, being a woman and attempting to become a royal knight, it was expected most people at the time would disagree with something so taboo. She showed them otherwise, climbing the ranks and besting her comrades in combat at an extremely high pace, she was the youngest to be knighted in the kingdom's history at 18, and was also both the youngest to become a captain at age 20.

Yuri, Female Age- 19: Yuri is the second daughter of King Tomah, giving her the title of Princess Yuri of Erieloth. She was shy and stayed away in her quarters most of her days, reading books she orders every week. She was awkward around others and her social skills were minimal. But, her intelligence was extraordinarily high, and was truly something to be marveled at. She rarely spoke with her older sister Elizabeth, who had stopped trying to bond with her quite some time ago. Yuri's only close friend was her maid Natsuki.

Natsuki, Female Age- 18: Natsuki was the daughter of a lowlife criminal who smuggled illegal weapons into the kingdom and was also convicted of multiple murders and theft. He was beheaded when Natsuki was 9 years old, and instead of going to the orphanage, she showed talent with her cooking and cleaning skills, and ultimately became a maid at King Tomah's castle, more specifically to cook and to clean for Princess Yuri. Since they were both relatively the same age, and neither had anyone else to talk to, they quickly became close friends, Natsuki visiting daily to clean her quarters and to bring her delicacies she baked for her, and playing together as children, often getting in trouble with one another.

Monika, Female Age- 24: Monika was a proud owner of a pub called "The Sweet Bin" in the cloud district of the kingdom, the cloud district being where most the nobles lived and/or spent their time. She was known for being sweet and gentle to her customers, often showering them in compliments and sweet remarks. But, not so much for her employees, which she showed her true colors to, screaming and cruelty were commonplace in the pub's backroom. Monika was also keen in manipulation, bending people to her will by saying everything they want to hear, then leaving them in a confused and hurt cloud of dust, not hesitating to squeeze every last coin from them.

Sayori, Female Age- 19: Sayori was a poor, and sickly peasant girl, a daughter of two parents who couldn't afford to feed her and were forced to turn her over to the orphanage, where she was treated awfully and was condemned for the smallest of things, the people there adding onto her feeling of worthlessness everyday of her life. She left when she was roughly 17, leaving to find a job in the kingdom where she could hopefully build a life for herself. She started working at a few random places, barely getting enough to feed herself everyday. Two years later she found work at a nice pub called "The Sweet Bin", and she was excited to start work, the owner was so sweet and kind, and didn't seem to get upset at all when she was acting clumsy and irresponsible. She even started doing things for the owner, Monika, gathering things she ordered from around town, giving her massages, everything she could do to make her happy. Until one day, she came into Monika's office and Monika explained to her she was relieved from her position, and when she asked why, she simply replied, "You've become useless." Currently, she was without a home, and slowly starving as she sat on the streets, waiting to die.

Well! I hope that gains your interest! Sorry Monika lovers, but we won't see much of her, and also sorry for making her evil! Anyways, I bet you guys are wanting to read the story huh? Awesome! I'll see you guys at the end of the chapter! I hope you love it!

The bright, burning sun slowly receded into the awaiting crimson horizon, hiding away till it was needed again. Such a sight was always beautiful to Yuri, who was watching the scene unfold from her balcony on the side of the castle. She sighed and held her hands in her lap, loving the way the kingdom looked during this time of day. Twilight always gave her that sense of comfort she always desired to have.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a small knock at her door, and she smirked, already knowing who was standing behind that door. She stood up and walked over to her bed, her silk lavender colored nightgown fluttered at her feet as she sat down on her large bed, "Come in," She said, pulling her legs up and crisscrossing them, placing her hands firmly in her lap.

The door creaked open, revealing a pink haired maid she had grown ever so close to over the years. She wore the traditional castles maid uniform, a black long sleeved button up shirt with black slacks and a black skirt. She always thought the small girl looked adorable in her uniform.

She blushed and shook those thoughts off, smiling and waving her hand at her, "Please, come in," She said and Natsuki nodded, walking inside her room and closing the door behind her. Yuri smiled in spite of her father, knowing how much he hated Natsuki coming in after hours and hanging out with her, so, to compensate for that she told him that she cleans her room as well, even though it's usually Natsuki dropping something then picking up.

"Hello, Your Highness," She said formally, bowing quickly and trying to hide an evil smirk.

Yuri frowned and crossed her arms, rolling her eyes, "Natsuki... You know I hate being called that! I told you that the first day we met!" She exclaimed, feigning hurt feelings by holding her hand dramatically against her chest, "I guess you just don't care about me..." She whined half-heartedly, looking away from her.

"Oh drop the act Princess," She said snidely, crossing her arms and slowly walking to the bed, "Unfortunately it's my job to care about you," She said and flopped on her bed, looking at Yuri by her feet.

Yuri sighed defeated and shook her head, a small smirk playing on her lips, my how much this girl has changed from that day...

Flashback 9 years ago

Yuri was in her room, concentrating on her book in front of her, sitting at her desk and staring at the pages beneath her. She was so concentrated she didn't hear the knocking on the door, well, that is until it became loud pounding that scared her half to death, causing her to literally jump from her seat and to land on the hard floor, "Ow..." She murmured, getting up and walking over to the door, opening it, "Hello?"

"Hello Your Highness," The servant said with straight face, bowing down quickly and standing straight up. She looked up at him and had to stop herself from giggling at his oddly shaped mustache, hiding her mouth behind her hand.

"Ahem, yes?" She asked, composing herself looking at his eyes rather then his face.

"Your father as appointed you a personal servant, I'd assume it was because she is your age and he is hoping you two get along well," He said and stepped to the side, showing a small girl, only a little younger then her, holding on tightly to a teddy bear, who seams had popped and stuffing was coming out slightly.

"This is Natsuki. She will cook, and clean for you, or do anything you ask of her," The servant stated, Natsuki looking up slightly and waving shyly, clutching onto her teddy bear tighter, "I will leave you two alone for introductions and such, good day Your Highness," He said and bowed before leaving the two children alone.

"H-Hello there, w-would you like to come in?" Yuri asked shyly, seemingly being just as nervous as the other girl.

Natsuki slowly entered the girls room and looked around in awe of it's size and the decorations on the walls, "Y-Y-You have pretty paintings on your wall..." She said weakly, pointing at a painting of a butterfly on top of a flower.

"Oh? Yes, that one is my favorite," Yuri replied, looking at it from afar, smiling at the girl who was staring at it intently.

"U-Um..." Natsuki turned around and quickly bowed, staying down in a bowing position as she started speaking, "I-It is an honor to be your servant Your Highness, I will do whatever you wish of me to do without any complaints," She stated quickly, still in a bowing position.

Yuri sighed and walked over to the girl, setting her upright by her chin and looking at her, "Hey, don't be so uptight, I'm just like any other person you've met," She stated in a soft, welcoming voice, now feeling a lot more comfortable around the girl.

"O-Okay Your Highness..." She said and Yuri scowled, bopping her on the head with a balled fist, "Ow!" She yelped holding her head, "What was that for!?" She exclaimed, causing her to blush and slap her hand over her mouth.

"I-I-I'm so sorry..." Natsuki quickly apologized, and Yuri did the same thing again, only much softer.

"I like you better when your not pretending to be someone else," She stated, and walked to her bed, "I hit you because I hate being called, 'Your Highness' please Natsuki, call me Yuri, or at the very least, call me princess," She asked, causing Natsuki's eyes to widen.

"O-Okay! Princess..." She said with a small smirk, and Yuri patted the spot on her bed next to her, inviting Natsuki over where they sat and chatted for quite awhile.

Present day

Yuri was snapped out of her memories by a soft kick to the back of the head, "Hey! Are you even listening?" Natsuki asked, throwing a pillow at her, "I demand you listen while I complain about my day!" She said in an adorable tone.

"Oh really?" She asked, throwing the pillow back at her, "I demand you to be less of a brat," She shot back, crossing her arms.

Natsuki huffed and crossed her arms, looking away, "Whatever..." She said and looked out the balcony.

Yuri looked at Natsuki and took a minute to admire her, she was very, very pretty and her personality was even better, she was the best friend Yuri could ask for. "Hey Natsuki, why is your hair down? I thought you only put it down before bed?" She asked, noticing her hair not having clips in it.

"Oh, well, kinda woke up late today..." She said and laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head, "Kinda forgot to put it up and I also think I forgot to eat breakfast..." She said and looked up at the ceiling, thinking intensely.

"Oh goddesses what I am I to do with a mess like you?" Yuri said and crawled over to her, laying next to her.

"Oh hush it, you know you couldn't live without me!" She shot back, and Yuri sighed, rolling her eyes.

"Whatever..."

Vida breathed in the crisp night air as she walked the kingdoms nearly empty streets, the only people up and walking were either the homeless, some people who liked late night walks like herself, or two kids going out most likely against their parents wishes. Her long bright blue hair bounced on her shoulders as she walked slowly, her dark blue eyes shimmering in the florescent moonlight, her pale skin lightened by the dim light. She smiled as she stared at the piercing radiant moon, the moonlight showering the shadows in dim lunar light. She was so infatuated with the full moon she didn't notice the person laying against a wall right in front of her, tripping over her and landing on her shoulder with a loud yelp.

She quickly looked back at the person she tripped over, seeing her rubbing her shin nonchalantly, running her thumb over the cut Vida had made on her leg, "I-I am so sorry! I didn't see you there!" She exclaimed, frowning when she received no response, "Hey, are you alright?" She asked, now concerned.

"... I'm... Fine..." She said weakly, holding onto herself tightly.

Vida now noticed that the girl was only wearing a tattered up dress and shoes that were so torn you could see her feet. She was thin and seemed sickly pale, she must be freezing out here!

"No, you aren't, here, let me help you..." She said and reached over to her, only for her hand to be weakly slapped away.

"Leave... Leave me alone..." The girl muttered, looking over at her, "I-I Don't need... Your help..."

Vida frowned again, getting on her knee and looking down at her, offering her a hand, "Hey, I hurt you, it's my job to protect people, so the least I can do is nurse you back to health," She said and the girl looked at her and back to her.

"Why... So you can leave me like everyone else... No.. Not aga-" She was cut off by a violent coughing fit, breathing heavily afterwards.

"Well, I refuse to just leave you out her where you will either freeze to death, starve, or whatever else may happen," She said and placed her hand on her shoulder, "Let me help you," She said warmly, looking into her eyes.

The girl pondered it for a minute, and after a few seconds she shrugged and grabbed Vida's hand, getting up and looked at her, "What's the worst that will happen... Right?" She said and sighed.

Vida smiled happily and reached a hand out, "I'm Vida, Captain Division 18," She introduced herself, the other girls eyes widening.

"Y-You're a knight...?" She said in awe, Vida nodding and a small smirk on her lips.

"Wow... I've never met... A knight before..." She said and blushed, slowly taking her hand, "My name is Sayori..." She said and shook hands with Vida.

"So... Can you walk?" Vida asked, if it came down to it she would carry her.

"Um... Yeah... I think..." Sayori said and shrugged giggling slightly. Vida sighed and took her wrist, leading her to her house.

Vida's house was fairly large, since she was a captain she was awarded a nice house in the kingdom's cloud district, Sayori was in awe as she entered the house, looking at the expensive decorations and furniture, "Your house is amazing..." She said and ran her hands against the couch.

"Oh! Well, thank you! Make yourself at home Sayori, I'll make you something to eat," Vida said and walked to her kitchen, leaving Sayori alone.

Sayori sighed and bit her lip, she couldn't believe this was happening, but, she still had her suspicions, this was too good to be true, she had the feeling she'd be left and forgotten all over again! She rubbed her thighs with her palms and looked at the ceiling, "But... She is a knight... Maybe she is different..." She pondered aloud as Vida came back with a plate of food.

"I didn't expect to make anything this late, so the best I could do was bread and grapes," She said apologetically, but Sayori shook her head and took the plate from her.

"Don't worry about it, this is the best meal I've had in days," She said and started eating, forcing herself not to scarf it down like a rabid animal. She finished and wiped her mouth, blushing as she looked at Vida.

"You... Didn't have to do that..." She muttered, biting her lip nervously.

"Yeah? Well, I don't have to let you stay here as long as you need to, but guess what I'm doing?" She said with a smile, Sayori's eyes widening exponentially.

"A-Are you serious?" She said and looked at the ground, "Do you promise... Do you promise you won't abandon me...?" She asked quietly, looking at the ground in front of her. Everyone she had ever cared about left her, or didn't want her. She didn't want to relive that pain again...

"Of course I won't dummy," Vida reassured her, patting her head, "Now, let me show you to the guest room, I'm tired and you're probably tired, so we can save all the talking for tomorrow okay?" She said and Sayori nodded in agreement, letting Vida take her wrist as she was lead to the room, thinking of everything Vida had just said while they walked.

Did she really mean it? Is she actually so caring to bring in a random stranger to her home? Or is this all a lie? She couldn't help but to have her thoughts linger on the last option as she entered the room.

"Okay, you'll sleep here," Vida said, gesturing to the fairly large bed.

"It's so big!" She exclaimed, rushing over to it and jumping on it, giggling as she bounced on it, "And bouncy and soft!"

Vida giggled at the girls adorable behavior and walked over to her, helping her into the bed and placing the covers over her, "Goodnight, Sayori," She said and started leaving, but Sayori grabbed her wrist and looked at her with a blush on her face.

"Um... Will you... Stay with me...? Until I fall asleep...?" She asked and looked away, Vida smiled warmly and walked over to the desk in the corner, grabbing the chair and sitting it besides the bed.

"Sure," She said and Sayori smiled, closing her eyes and snuggling into the covers. Vida slowly caressed her soft hair as she started to slowly fall asleep, the last thoughts running through her mind being, maybe it really is real.
