Caillen's desk was littered with paperwork again and his father's cultural advisor disturbed him every so often bearing more work. With a tired sigh, he leaned back in his chair and stared at his desk, it had been a while since Desideria had cleared this desk, perhaps she'd stop by.

Snapping him from his thoughts was a light knock at the door and, from the sound of it, it seemed to be have made from knocking the lower portion of the door. Making a 'heh' sound before getting up, he opened the door with a flourish; making a show of looking for someone, just as a small child slipped past his opening. "Guess there's no-one here," he spoke loudly as he shrugged his shoulders, closed the door and returned to his desk.

Making another scene of dropping his pen, he bent down under the desk to make eye contact with the mischievous imp who had hidden there."Oh, and who do we have here?" he asked playfully, his little girl erupting into giggles immediately on discovery, causing his heart to melt as his playful grin grew larger as he gazed upon his daughter hiding under his desk. He pulled back his chair and held his arms out for her to leap into, causing her to scream in delight before excitedly getting up from her knees. But she never reached him as the door burst open to reveal a more than slightly exhausted Desideria.

"Have you seen Lillya, Cai?" She asked worn out from her apparent search of their home. Trying to make his grin fade he denied any knowledge of her whereabouts and attempted to misdirect his wife, but she was his wife for a reason. "I can smell lies Caillen de Orczy," she said with a grin.

"Really? You know that's a truly unique ability, the League would surely benefit from your interesting gifts," he teased, attempting again to stall. But Desideria was having none of it and with one withering look that told him he was failing; he was undone and conceded at once, flitting his eyes downward as an indicator.

"So she's really not here? Truth?" She asked mischief now in her eyes. He nodded vigorously as she closed the door in-front of her with an audible click.

Thinking the coast was clear, Lillya leapt into his lap and embrace for a hug.

"Ha, got you!" Desideria exclaimed in triumph.

"Sorry Pun 'kin daddy's a bad liar," Caillen said apologetically to his daughter as she continued to grin up at him. Clutching her tighter as his heart warmed well past melting point, he looked up at his wife with a grin and mouthed 'mine' before sticking his tongue out at her, while his daughter laughed at his antics.
