Why Me?
Padfoot, Prongs, Moony and Wormtail burst into laughter because of what they had just seen on the television screen. Rita Skeeter, the four's worst enemy, was hit over the head with a glass punch bowl. Suddenly they heard a noise that made them go quiet. It was footsteps of a Professor coming toward the common room. A momement later Professor Mcgonnagal stepped into the room. " Mr Lupin could I see you for a minute?" She asked. Remus nodded and followed her through the door. " Good Luck Remus." Sirius and James chorused solenmly. The two kept walking till they reached the highest tower in Hogwarts, Dumbledore's office. As soon as Remus stepped in the room the door slammed shut behind him. " Sir, You wanted to see me?" Remus asked. "Yes Mr Lupin sit down." Remus slowly sat down in a chair still watching the solenm Headmaster. " Mr Lupin, You do understand that the man kind can't live forever." Remus squeaked back,"Yes Sir." Dumbledore continued to speak staring into Remus' eyes. " And you do know that sometimes our loved ones don't live as long as us?" Remus paused before saying" Yes." very quietly. What could Dumbledore be saying? " You promise me that you will handle the news I am about to give to you as maturely as possible?" He asked quickly. " Yes Sir I will Sir." " Your father Ray Lupin is ......is.....has passed away." Remus couldn't think. The words he had just heard sunk into him like a snake's sharp painfull teeth. " You promise me Mr Lupin that you will inform your sister Callie Lupin this news and that you will make her understand that she is not to mention this to anyone for the sake of your life and hers?" Remus couldn't answer. " Mr Lupin?" " Yes, yes sir of course sir."

" So Moony what did she want you about? Moony? Hellllllooooo?" Padfoot asked as Remus returned to the common room. " Gotta' go tell Cal." Were Remus' only words before he dissapeared upstairs.
As he entered the girls dorm he spotted Lily first of all and asked her if she would ask the other girls except for Callie to go out of the room. Lily said yes but wanted to know why, but Remus refused to tell her. When all of the girls were gone he spoke to his sister," Cal, I have to talk to you about Dad." A small brown hair figure emerged from under her covers of her bed. " Remus something's wrong with Daddy isn't there?" How could she know? Had Dumbledore already told her? Had someone else? " Well, yes." The small girl slowly, as if approaching a dragon, crawled toward Remus. " You look worried Remi, What's wrong? Daddy's okay isn't he?" Remus felt, for the first time in his life, a hot tear run down his cheek and fell onto her small head. Suddenly Callie looked up and said now crying," Daddy dead isn't he?" Remus couldn't speak for he had started to cry too. " Don't cry Remi, Daddy's still with us in our hearts isn't he?" " No Callie, Dad's dead and he's never coming back!" Then Remus, leaving Callie alone, ran back to his dorm and cried himself to sleep.
The next morning Remus awoke by James nudging him softly, " Remus, Please tell me what's wrong!" all of the sudden Remus screamed, " Look! My dad is dead! Voldemort killed him and he's never coming back never! I hate my life! I hate my life! I hate ! I HATE IT!" All the marauders were silent and stayed that way for the rest of the morning. The only sound was the small sobbing of poor old Remus Lupin.
( sobs then blows nose) That's so sad I can't believe I wrote such a sad story! Boo Hoo!!!!! Please Review! Oh I rhymed!
