End of the musical, Blaine's parents come up to congratulate him on his performance. He introduces them to Rachel.
"Father, Mother, this is Rachel."
Blaine's parents recognize the name from when Blaine went out with her previously.
"Oh, hello Rachel, how are you?"
"I'm great! I'm so happy that Blaine was my Tony and I know it was fantastic viewing for you…" Rachel continues on in her normal tangent way. Blaine's parents finally excuse themselves after 10 minutes of non-stop Rachel.
They return home and settle down for the evening, reading the paper, drinking some hot tea. Blaine approaches his parents and lets them know he is a homosexual.
"Father, Mother, I have something to tell you."
Blaine's father retorted, "I hope it is that you stopped seeing that Rachel girl. She gave me a headache with all of her talking."
"No, Father, it isn't about Rachel. It's about me. Well, about me and Kurt."
"Is Kurt that nice boy that you hang out with? What's wrong?" Blaine's mother asked, with a worried look on her face. "I remember you said he transferred to Dalton because he was being bullied at his former school. You are both there now, are you being bullied Blaine, dear?"
"No, Mother, I'm not, we're not, being bullied."
"Good, I'd hate to have to transfer to yet another school. Don't like the fact that I was paying for Dalton and you decided to transfer out to public school. Your grades will suffer. You need to be a man and confront any issues you have," Blaine's father stated.
"I apologize for the inconvenience of transferring schools. I know it was hard to transfer me to Dalton in the first place, and I appreciated it greatly."
"Then what do you want to talk about anyways. The news is about to come on," said Blaine's father.
"I wanted to let you know that I'm a homosexual, and I'm in love with Kurt."
Both of Blaine's parents looked stunned. Blaine's mother started the conversation back up. "Are you sure honey? I mean, that is a big leap to make. You haven't dated much, in fact, I believe you only went out with that Rachel girl and I don't think you want to step into homosexuality because of your experience with her. Please think this over."
Blaine's father added, "I want you to experience more life before coming to such a conclusion."
"But Father, I'm in love!"
Blaine's mother, "Honey, we are simply asking you to realize that you need more time to determine who you like, or even love. You shouldn't make rash decisions. You should go out on more dates with girls, other than Rachel.
Feeling defeated, Blaine agrees. Slowly Blaine turns around and heads upstairs to bed.
Lying on his bed, looking at a picture of Kurt on his phone, Blaine reasons with himself that if does what his parents ask, then he can show it won't work and that him and Kurt are the future.
