Uh. Hi? xD Newbie to fanfic here again. Yeah. I'm planning to try and finish this as an important part of my life. This is kinda like a prologue to the story. Thanks and enjoy? x)

Disclaimer: don't own cardcaptor sakura. Rights go to the ever awesome clamp.

I can only hope that my ever compassionate father and overly observant brother will overlook my tear streaked face and forced smile for just this once. Just for this moment; I really wouldn't ask for anything else ever again. Okay, that's going too far, but please.

"O-ohayo, Otou-san, Onii-chan."

"Ah, kaij…" Touya's eyes widened, but quickly recollected themselves, "Sakura. Ohayo. Come eat breakfast-dad's pancakes are to die for!" As nonchalantly as fakely possible, he went back to chewing the aforementioned food and watching the boring drone of the weatherman, talking about countries that he really wasn't ever going to associate himself with.

"Good morning, dear Sakura!" Fujitaka's smile was always warm and genuine, no matter what. He was a man of kindness and hope; the day he gives up is the day mutant pig tomatoes join Voldemort's army and rule the world-impossible, but oh so deadly if it were true. He had kept the family alive even when Nadeshiko could not do so anymore. He would do everything with a smile. Ah, but he wasn't stupid.

And you'd wonder, how, with such a painfully intelligent family, Kinomoto Sakura could have ended up anything but.

Whew. I'm safe. Breathe in, breathe out. Walk to the dinner table, grab chair, sit down on chair, eat food looking as normal as possible. Hold back stupid tears. Chew. Swallow. Chew. Swallow. Chew…what was next?

But before she had a chance to remember the answer, the drone of the weatherman leapt to something that caught the attention of all three like a high-pitched scream.

"Good mooooooooorning Tomoeda!" the newsguy boomed with the enthusiasm and drama that could only match, oh I don't know, Yamazaki's dad or something. "This just in! Last night, when we were all warm and cosy in our beds…well, most of us were…" he winked. But as soon as he did, the whole atmosphere grew tense. "Mihara Chiharu, 14 years old and a student of Tomoeda High, was murdered in her own bedroom. What kind of cold-hearted beast could have done this to such a poor, innocent girl? Who could have done this to my poor son's sweet girlfriend? Now he's refusing to eat or do anything normal! Well not like he was ever really normal but… Noooooo!"

The guy truly was Yamazaki's father.

Touya and Fujitaka didn't bother concealing their shock and concern, and turned their heads immediately toward Sakura's direction. Sadly, Sakura didn't bother hiding her emotions either. Within a matter of seconds, tears streamed down her burning face, the reason being plain. At once, Fujitaka pulled her tightly against him whilst Touya rubbed her hiccupping back.

But what they don't know, Sakura's heavy heart whispered painfully, is that I'm the one who killed her. It's my fault. I'm the cold-hearted beast to have murdered the poor, innocent girl. I'm the one that's guilty, and it hurts.

Like I said, this is simply a prologue. Expect more soon xD

And I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me some feedback, thanks!

Yeah, I'm awkward with what to write here so like yeah thanks x)
