A/N – Gossip Girl is one of my obsessions. And it annoys me how Chuck and Blair OBVIOUSLY love each other but neither of them are prepared to admit it (or they do and then one of them messes it up). I wrote this a while back because I was frustrated and I wanted to see what would happen when they finally realised that they were meant to be soul mates (because they will). Right well, this is a one off. So, enjoy and check out my Twilight fanfic please :)

He noticed her standing alone on the rooftop as soon as he stepped into the cool night's breeze. Blair's shoulders were slightly hunched with the cold and she pulled the beige pashmina tighter around her neck. Chuck's footsteps created an echo on the metallic floor causing Blair's head to turn sharply when the sound reached her ears. He smiled to himself as she swivelled her body towards him, a smirk sketched upon her lips. She wrapped the unbuttoned layers of her coat tighter round herself, the edges of the brown material blowing in the evening air and Chuck's smile grew as he noticed how it hugged and flattered the silhouette of her body. Suddenly, the roof was lit up by hundreds of fairy lights, creating a bridge of gold above their heads. His head jerked up in surprise and she laughed at his response.

"Look," she started, taking hold of Chuck's hands and looking up into his eyes. "I know we've tried this before. And I know it hasn't always gone right," she looked down and a nervous smile passed her lips. "Well, it's never gone right, has it or we wouldn't be he-" Chuck silenced her babbling with a finger on her lips.

"Blair, Blair, Blair," he gave a half smile then bent his head so his lips were at her ear. "You've known it all along, but I feel like I need to tell you again. I love you. I always have.... and always will." He threw back his head and laughed. "I love you!" he shouted, liking the feel of the refreshing air that hit his face. Blair took his face in her hands and looked into his eyes for a brief moment, eyes full of emotion, before pulling his face towards hers and kissing him lightly on the lips. As she moved her head backwards, he studied her face, her lips pouting, eyes closed. She was taken by surprise when Chuck kissed her, more passionate than before as he pulled his hand through her hair, grabbing a handful of curls and scrunching it in his palm. Moving one hand to his arm as she pulled away, she moved her head to rest on his shoulder.

"I love you." she whispered softly into the material of his scarf, moving her head to kiss his neck. He couldn't believe how happy hearing those three words made him feel and he put his arms round Blair's slim waist, lifting her up so her face was level with his as they kissed again. When the kiss was finished, he put one hand on her cheek and looked into her eyes.

"I know I've hurt you before," he said, eyes full of guilt as he bowed his head.

"Chuck." Blair started but he put his hand up to stop her.

"No. I need to say it. This time... it just feels right. I'm not going to mess this up again, I've had too many chances already."

"Chuck," Blair whispered, stroking his cheek with the back of her hand. "That was the past. All that matters is we're here now." He grabbed her in a tight embrace and buried his face in her hair happy that she still wanted him after all his mistakes.

"I promise," he insisted. "I won't mess this up. I'm yours." A small smile appeared on Blair's lips.

"We belong to nobody and nobody belongs to us. We don't even belong to each other," Blair quoted from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

"Holly Golightly was stupid to say that. You may not belong to me but I'll be yours forever," Chuck told her before kissing her again passionately.
