Mikey

The sound of his skateboard wheels grinding on the cement echoed through the sewer tunnels. His orange bandana flapped behind him. He did a few tricks off one of the pipes running along the tunnel wall. Skating always seemed to clear his head. He let his board carry him to the opening of his underground home. The smell of old pizza greeted his nose as he walked through the door. He could see his older brother Donnie at his desk, typing away on his laptop. Papers laid in messy piles all over. Don's long legs sprawled out on either sides of his chair.

"Hey man." Donnie spoke from behind his computer screen. "Where were you?"

"Went for a ride. Dude, the pipes are sick!" He tossed his board on the nearby couch and grabbed a slice of pizza from an old box. "What about you?" he said through a mouth full.

"Nothing mu- Ew! Mike, how old is that pizza?" Mikey shrugged and continued to chew. "You're disgusting, dude."

"Mikey!" A yell came from down the hall. Both Donnie and Mikey look towards the weight room.

"Did you remember to clean your stuff off of Raphs equipment?" Donnie asked.

Mikey made a face. "Oops." Raph burst through the weight room door. Steam practically poured out of his ears. He clutched one of Mikey's nunchakes in his green fist.

"You better run, man." Donnie said under a chuckle. Mikey let out a squeal and began to run. Raph dove for Mikey, chasing him around the couch until he was able to put him in a head lock. Mikey clawed at his brother's arm.

"Come on, man! That hurts." Mikey begged. Raphs hold tightened.

"You gonna remember to clean your junk of my stuff?"

"Ok, ok I will. Ah! Dude stop." He wailed. Raph chuckled as Mikey squirmed.

"Knock it off!" Both of the turtles stopped and looked up. Leo stood in front of them glaring at Raph. "Raphael, let him go."

"Oh come on Leo, I wasn't really gonna hurt him" His brother released his grip around his neck. Quickly, Mikey pushed himself away and narrowed his eyes at Raphael.

"Not cool dude." He huffed.

"I can't leave you guys alone for one second. And you," Leo looked at Donnie. "What are you doing, letting them go at it like that?"

"Leo, relax. They're fine."

"Yea Leo, relax." Raph mocked. Leo shot his anger back at Raph, taking a step towards him.

"Watch it little brother." Leo growled. Mikey could feel the tension between his brothers.

"Woa bros lets just calm down and order some pizza, on me. Extra cheese, maybe some peperoni." Mickey rambled on as he grabbed the phone.

"Why don't you watch this!" Raph clenched his fist ready to deck Leo in the face. Before he could strike, Leo grabbed his wrist and yanked his arm behind his shell.

"Don't test me Raph."

"What?" Raph breathed. "Did Sensei's favorite not get enough sleep?" Leo twisted Raphs arm further behind his back. Raph grunted in pain. Immediately, Leo released his brother and pushed him forward. Mikey looked at Donnie. It was totally normal for those two to be fighting like that. They have always butted heads over everything. Leo was the leader and eldest brother, and Raph has a problem with authority.

Raph looked at Leo like he wanted to strike again. But Leo gave him the "don't even think about it" look that made Raph go stomping off who knows where.

"I'll go talk to him." Donnie stood up from his desk.

"Donatello, wait." Donnie stopped before he could take a step. Master Splinter emerged from his study. "Leave him go."

"But Master."

"No. Raphael needs time to cool off. Leave him be."

Donnie hung his head and bowed at his Sensei. "Yes Master."

Splinter looked and his three boys. "As for you three. Training starts now." The brothers rolled their eyes and groaned at the thought of work.
