Hey everyone! I'm feeling a bit bad for not updating anything last week, and it's likely nothing will be posted this week either, at least not Symbiosis. I'm horribly busy with schoolwork at the moment, because two of my teachers suddenly decided to give me huge projects due the same day! :D So, here's a little thing that's been sitting on my computer for a bit. This could either be MetaCrisisDoctor or 10, whoever you'd prefer. Enjoy!
"You're supposed to wish," Rose told him, snuggling up against his side. The cold wind whispered over their faces, the tall grasses swaying with it. He said nothing, pressing his lips to the top of her head.
"Don't have anything to wish for," he replied after a few minutes, his voice barely above a whisper. "I have everything I want right here."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
They sat for hours, watching stars fall from the sky around them as they lay in each other's arms. Occasionally the Doctor would tell her some random fact about the meteors, and occasionally her lips would move in an unspoken wish. He asked her what she was wishing for once, but she shook her head and told him that it wouldn't come true. He pointed out that it probably wouldn't anyway, and she rolled her eyes.
As the sun created a thin crack of pale pink-orange light on the horizon, he gently shook her awake.
"What?" She mumbled, clearly not completely coherent.
The Doctor smiled, shifting so they were looking at each other. "I lied." He admitted. Warm brown eyes gave him a slightly confused look, eyebrows scrunching together.
" ' bout what?"
"About not having anything to wish for."
" What did you wish for, then?"
"That would be telling," he grinned. "Then it might not come true. Won't come true if I don't tell you, though."
"Tell me, then."
"I wish…"
"Yeah?" She pressed as he seemed to trail off.
"That the world was covered in bananas. Wouldn't that be brilliant! Everywhere you go, a banana just waiting to be eaten."
"You're kidding."
"Yep." He replied, popping the 'p'.
"What's your real wish, then?"
He dug through his pocket for a moment before pulling out a small box. "I wish that you would be my wife."
Rose was silent until he finally spoke again, prodding her for an answer.
"Rose?"
"You shouldn't tell people your wishes."
"Huh?"
"Might not come true then."
"…Rose?" The Doctor looked at her, a bit confused, not quite following.
" Of course, there's always the rare case where it'll come true anyways."
" So…you will?"
"Don't be daft, of course I will."
Leave a review, if you'd be so kind! :D
