This fanfiction is a result of Unattainable Dreams' Prompt Exchange Challenge in which I took part. I was assigned with this:

Begin your story with: He/ She didn't plan to burn down his/her house. It just sort of... happened. [Sent by Darksknight]

Extra prompt use (given by Unattainable Dreams):

3. Make a character have an odd (or seemingly odd) New Year's resolution.

This is a double drabble (has exactly 200 words).

He didn't plan to burn down his house. It just sort of... happened.

It was just an idea; a weird and now stupid New Year's resolution.

This year I'll try to enjoy my house.

Sam's always saying that he needs to change his ways. And so he tried. He tried to cook.

Callen stared the stove; odd thing, that. It was an old one, which required a match to light up the stove burner. And so he did so; he lighted up the stove burner so it'd start heating up and then opened all cabinets only to realize he doesn't have food. The only thing he has is a stacked temple of food-delivery packages in the fridge.

He left the stove on and walked out to buy food. Unwisely he left the stove on; he had never cooked before!

When he arrived home, the landlord and bystanders were watching the firefighters extinguishing the fire that had consumed part of the house.

"You are paying this month's rent."

Holding a bag with his clothes he rang on Sam's doorbell. He was surprised to see him there. "Can I stay here for a couple of days? My house kind of burn down…"

It has been quite a while since my last NCIS: Los Angeles fanfiction...

Don't forget the reviews, and don't forget this was only meant to be funny.
