Chapter one:
She sat on the clock tower overlooking her island... Waiting for it to chime… She wore faded denim jeans and a pink Juicy zip- up jacket. Her hair was long down to her mid back, bangs falling over her right eye and her auburn-brown hair shining in the sunset. She heard her name being called in the distance closing her eyes she remembered standing on the beach alone, the sun setting.
Faded Memories
"Kairi" it was Sora's voice, one she knew entirely too well...
"Kairi please, Im sorry I didn't mean to-"His words were cut off, standing in silence she turned her back to the setting sun and looked at him.
"Not meaning to and doing are two different things, and by your actions I have been deeply hurt Sora." Saying this and thinking about what he had done made tears stream down her fair cheeks.
"Kairi I don't even like Jessica you know that." She looked at him tears still streaming down her innocent face.
"But you took her out, held her hand, kissed her goodnight and called her the next day, all while you and I are together."
Sora just looked at her, his eyes seaming to speak for him trying to plead that he was truly deeply sorry, and in love with Kairi Acosta.
"Kai, I am really truly deeply sorry."
"I will forgive you this time... But if it happens again…. You will be punished" She laughed at the look on his face.
End of Memory
She opened her eyes laughing at how much she over reacted when she was younger. Over the silliest things too. She knew all to well Sora would never mean to hurt her. He would never hurt her at all. The sun set, and she decided to go home, she wanted to spend her last day as a junior in high school alone. Because she wanted to think about her goals for the future. As soon as she was done thinking, she ran jumped off the ledge onto the platform leading to the stair way to get down from the clock tower.
"Kai!" an overly enthusiastic voice called. "Kairi wait up!" the voice called. "Hey guys I found her!" It screamed.
"KAIRI" what seemed like a crowd of one hundred people called. It wasn't one hundred, only ten.
I turned around looking to see my whole group of friends running towards me. I began to run towards them, meeting them halfway.
"We were so worried about you, you weren't home, or by Sora's or at school, or anywhere, you didn't even answer your phone!. Are you trying to give us a heart attack?" Namine yelled.
"Sorry guys, I was on top of the clock tower." I smiled
"I didn't mean to worry you all, I was just thinking to myself up there." She said.
"That is no excuse young lady, from now on-" Namine got cut off by Sora.
"Ok, ok. Now that we found Kairi, Sora addressed the group. Can we please go now?" He pouted
The group looked at him and laughed. It was tradition for the group to sleep on the hidden beach the night before the last day of school.
"Oh!" I gasped… "I completely forgot all about sleeping out tonight, I have no clothes." I frowned, and then Namine pulled from her giant purse a bag of mine that was filled with stuff.
"What is in there?" I asked curiously...
"All of your things for tomorrow" Namine replied looking quite satisfied with herself.
I giggled at her, and then looked at the rest of my group. This consisted of: Sora, Riku, Namine, Cloud, Alicia and Alyssa, Jake, Tidus, Selphie and me. I grabbed hold of Sora's hand and we headed over to the hidden beach.
