This poem was inspired by Angel After the Fall Issue Nine.

It is called, "One Shell Too Full."

Everyone thinks this shell is hollow

What would they say if they knew

That this shell was actually too full?

I try to make the filth exit my new shell

But the filth fights back

The filth uses twice as much strength

I am strong outside this shell

But within it I am weak

My glare does not frighten the filth

But the filth's glare frightens me

The filth should tremble when in my view

But I instead tremble in the filth's view

I fear that if we both keep pushing

That this shell may break into pieces

I can already feel this shell cracking

Soon one piece will fall and shatter

I think the filth is winning…
