He was all alone sitting on the stairs in front of the Iron Throne.

No one was there to help him; he didn't have anyone he could ask for advice. He felt as if his life was upside down all the sudden. It had been almost 3 weeks since he witnessed the ugly truth about his mother.

Cersei's steps disturbed the silence in the room. The eco sounded like a million drums in his ears. Bitterness crept into his face. "I do not want to see you mother" he said quietly. Joffrey was a calm peaceful young man who did not have any bits of violence in his heart; unlike they rest of his family.

Cersei attempted to speak, "Joffrey, you need to listen to me. You…" "No I don't." Joffrey interrupted her. "Do you realize how disappointed I am? Do you realize the dilemma you caused to me?" A river of shame swept over Cersei's beautiful, almost perfect face. She didn't have much to say to tell the truth. Everything Joffrey had seen in Winterfell was true; she has been sleeping with Jamie.

"I hope you know how much I regret it Joffrey. You need to try to understand at least. Look at my life, I have always hated everything about my life, except for my children. First, I had a father who sold me to the king and now I have a fat husband who disgusts me in every way possible. I was seeking a way out and Jamie has always been there for me, through everything." Cersei didn't regret it, nor she would change her relationship with Jamie to anything. She was certainly ashamed though, but just because it was their own son who caught them on top of the tower. She started thinking a way out of this.

"Please, just leave me alone, I need to think." Joffrey seemed to be already absorbed in his thoughts. How could she get away with this, she was thinking.

"You know how much I love you Joffrey but Robert will not keep you next to him if he figures out that you are not his son, his heir, but rather an offspring of an incest relationship." He saw the light of unwonted pleasure in her eyes. "You are my mother, are you threatening me? I am not Jamie's offspring. My father is Robert Baratheon." he said. "Do you really believe that Joffrey? Don't tell me you haven't wondered about this. Your beautiful blonde hair obviously didn't come from Robert… Look, I am trying to save both of us. If you tell anyone about this, they will not only kill all three of us but also your siblings." He stared at her unbelievingly; he was out of words. Cersei was the devil of the Seven Kingdoms, now he new. There wasn't a situation she could not get away with.

Joffrey walked towards the Iron Throne. The painful thought of what his mother could do to save herself, her selfishness made him fell sick to his stomach. He was staring at the throne, what he has admired all his life. He wasn't ready to give up on it. "Okay, I will not tell anyone." Joffrey said. "I knew you were going to make the…" Cersei attempted. "Not so fast mother. I have one condition. You are going to leave King's Landing and return to Casterly Rock."
