(AN) not the best summary or prologue but I have great plans for this story. PM me or leave a Review if you want more of this story. And if anyone would be willing could you PM me the list of all the names of the horses and their gender and who their riders are. If anyone can do that then I would be grateful as well as able to write this story faster.

Chapter 1

It was just a normal cool night as I slept in my own stall. To the untrained eye the stall would look like it was empty because my coat color was midnight black which resulted in me being near invisible in the dark. The only thing that stood out was the small white highlight that my mistress at the time thought was cute. My breed was an Arabian and my build was about average if a little on the strong side. I was sleeping peacefully in the darkness of my stall when the sound of a shutter slamming shut in the wind woke me. I lifted my head slightly to look out over my half door. When I saw nothing of interest I dozed back to sleep. Not three minutes later something strange reached my nose. I sniffed it and almost gagged as I smelt the familiar smell of gas.
'My mistress's father must of forgotten to tighten the gas cap on the tractor again.'
I would have gone back to sleep but the smell was becoming overwhelming. I raised my head to my full height and looked out in an attempt to locate the tractor. What surprised me was that the tractor was to my left but the smell was coming from my right. I started to panic when I looked to my right to see that the smell was coming from the house. I was about to whinny out a warning to my owners but I never got the chance. My ears picked up the tell-tale sound of a match striking and the next thing I see is the house and the surrounding yard get engulfed in a fiery inferno with loose debris flying towards the barn with my stall and three other empty stalls. I quickly ducked back into my stall as flaming debris flew past my stall. It was at this time I started to full out panic as the barn caught on fire. I turned around and gave my stall door a solid kick. The bolt was old and rusted so the second kick snapped the metal bolt in half. As soon as I stepped out of my stall a piece of flaming hay from the rafters fell and landed on my back. I let out a screech of pain as the sudden heat shocked me and caused me to bolt. As soon as I cleared the barn I looked back to see that my tail and hindquarters were on fire and I could feel the fire eating away at my hair. I quickly looked over at the river that was near the barn and ran over to it and jumped in. There was an audible hiss as the fire on me was extinguished immediately. I looked back at my home and watched in despair as the house was in a full blaze and the barn beginning to go into a full blaze. I was about to get out of the river when the house exploded from the propane tank in the basement rupturing. The blast was strong enough to send out a shockwave that kicked up a lot of dust. As the shockwave reached me it hit with full force causing me to be pushed towards the opposite bank. As I reached the other bank my head hit a rock hard causing my vision to blur. The last thing I saw was the house and barn collapsing before a blacked out from the blow to my head.
