Slowly Martha walks back to the house, head hung down as the tears started to form, refusing to fall down, she won't give them the satisfaction. She was stronger than this, and so much more braver especially after the year that never was. Saying goodbye to a friend sure did sting, but she knew it wasn't forever, she was certain of that. Still the pain rubbed at her heart, and soul as well, growing stronger as the Tardis began to dematerializes feet behind her, she didn't turn back to watch. With a shaking hand Martha opens the front door.
"Thank goodness he's gone!" She hears her mother exclaim, joy oozing from the words and that's all it takes for Martha to collapse on the tile, weeping.
