The Writer
Hi. My name is Jake. I'm writing this because people need to be warned. But there's another person who will do that for us. Her name? Well…her name's not important. But the thing is, when we came out of the Yeerk Pool for the first time, we had only one survivor with us. And she just happened to be a writer. We told her not to write anything, not to say a word to anyone about this. She frowned. "I think our race should be warned. I will write about this." I stiffened. "Oh, don't worry. I'll change names and things."
"Yes! The human race could actually know about the invasion! You could warn them!" Marco exclaimed.
"Uh-huh. I think I could have a book or two published by June, 1996." She said.
"Okay. Good. We'll keep in touch." I said. "Hey, by the way, what's your name?"
She turned around. "My name? Well, you can call me Katherine. I've always liked that name. My pen name will be Katherine Alice Applegate."
