Darkness... it was approaching fast. The scent of blood was every where. Her blood. Noises were spinning around her.
'so this is it... its finally over' Blues mind wandered as she slowly felt the life drain from her body.
She could remember the anger she felt right before she attacked Darcia. How dare he take the life of her master. the one who had raised her from a tiny pup. She could never forgive Darcia. But in the end it was she who lied in a pool of her own dark red blood. She failed to avenge pops death. And she would never get another chance.
the faint footsteps of another approached Blue from where she lay. The familiar scent of Hige.And the scent of his blood. He softly plopped down next to her with a sad but warm smile and petted her head ever so gently.
"hige..." she opened her eyes slightly. She saw nothing but darkness.Hige continued to pet her head. He saw a line of blood trail from where he brushed the hair out of her beautiful face.
"don't worry... we can stay like this forever." Hige whispered to her. His head dropped back slightly, tears ready to stream from his eyes. The pain was immense. "I'll never leave you" Hige continued sadly.
Hige recalled the first time he met Blue. She was drop dead gorgeous and he was instanlty hooked. He vowed to go with her wherever she went. And the goal for them at that time was paradise. Perhaps it was false hope. For he knew that paradise would probably never accept him for his past crimes. Blue had felt that a half wolf like her wouldn't be able to enter paradise, But still they continued on the road to Rakuen. Now as they lay on the ground dying, he realized that the road th paradise was over for the two of them. But that was okay... as long as he could stay with Blue thats all that mattered. Paradise would mean nothing if they were without the other. All he could do now was to put his faith in the others and that they would open the long awaited paradise.
"so...warm" Blues eyes flickered and closed for the last time. As long as he's with her she could die happy. And maybe... just maybe they could all meet again in another life. This thought made her smile slightly. yes... to be able to see him again. She drew her final breath, and slipped away into the darkness. Free from all pain, hate and sorrow.
Hige felt her pass and smiled soflty as tears trailed down his cheek.
"rest now Blue... I will be there to join you shortly" He whispered to her lifeless form.
He sighed wearily as the footsteps of another approached quickly. Hige let out another long breath. He knew what he had to ask Tsume to do.
