The grey fog plagued her vision; the twisting tree branches stretched towards her like countless, distorted hands. The dark twilight told her to turn back, yet she was a disobedient little girl, therefore she continued into the woods.

Brunette curls that surpassed her petite shoulders. Her eyes were like glass and darker than a blackbirds wings and a small fruitful mouth as delicate as a doll. She had a boney frame like that of a child peasant, but her clothing suggested a aristocrat status, despite the fabric being torn in multiple places. She had pale skin drained of all colour.

Following the directions from the towns children, she began to run. If the rumors were true, the demon should appear in the heart of the woods at midnight. Her heartbeat quickened with anticipation.

She approached a large, dead oak tree. She crouched and traced her fingers along it's base, gathering ash and soot; it's mass towered over her, creating a icy shadow pool that shrouded her entirely. The girl shivered.

Then, from behind her, there was a sheet flash.

"Oh my! It's Miss Alice~" a male voice spoke in a excitable yet nerving tone. Alice stood and turned round. A boy stood before her, furnished in a purple blazer and matching shorts, his arms open in a welcoming manner. He smirked mischievously "what is it you desire?"

He crossed his arms and shifted his body weight onto one leg. "What a troublesome request," he frowned. "What do I get in return?" he asked, staring through her eyes. Alice remained silent. The boy shrugged shaking his head whilst letting out a small sigh. "Then afterwards,I will do what I please with you" he traced his index finger from Alice's lips downwards, "do we have a deal?" Alice nodded once, emotionless. The boy grinned suggestively. He toke a pace backward.

He reached out his hand to Alice and there was a shine of light. "I am forming my contract with you, however, in order to obtain my power, you must wear my seal" the corner of his lips curled "on your body". Alice shuddered, disturbed. She pointed towards her neck uneasily. "Very well. The more visible the seal is, the stronger our connection. Wear shall I wear mine?" the demon asked. Alice extended her arms out to him, then used two fingers to outline the demons lips.

She flinched as the seal formed around her neck. "It looks like a choker, it suits you" the boy smiled. Alice winched touching it. "I don't recommend touching your seal. It may hurt for a while. It depends upon the person," the demon scolded

"Due to your pitiful circumstances," he scowled "you lack the ability to give me a name?" Alice nodded. The demon sucked through his teeth. "Very well," he sighed "then, you may address me by my previous name." Alice tilted her head in confusion, she did not know demons could name themselves. The demon picked up on this,"I am unlike regular demons as the state of affairs around my turning to a demon were... complicated to say the least. I still remember my human name, many other demons have forgotten theirs" he told her proudly. "I shall not reveal my true name, due to the demon guidelines. You can adress me as, Alois." Alice nodded.

"I must adopt a role most suitable for a Lady such as yourself. To outsiders, I will be known as your fiancee" Alois said smugly, "is that acceptable, Alice?" She grimaced at the thought. "My Lady, I must be able to blend into your life, my body is a similar age to your own, so would that not be the most acceptable explanation to give others?" Alois reasoned. Alice then nodded reluctantly.

"Very well, then let us head home".
