((A/N: XD After writing so many Detective Conan/Magic Kaito drabbles, I finally couldn't resist a good SasuHina :3

I'll try and update my other SasuHina fics soon! I really am very sorry for being so unorganized! -.-;;

Muse-chan out!))

Rain Falls…?

She'd seen this scene countless times. It was normal, everyday.

Water beat down on his umbrella.

She couldn't describe the feeling; she didn't think she'd ever be able to.

She'd never quite seen a sight quite like it.

It was unique despite being so average.

It brought a slightly odd and more than a little awkward smile to her lips. Her chest bubbled with emotion and she wanted to move towards the sight.

Sasuke just stared back with a certain amount of caution. It wasn't everyday the shy Hyuuga acted so… strangely.

Strange grin still strong the girl stumbled to her feet. There was a moments hesitation in her steps, a second that brought all her worries back and sent her pondering whether she really should do what she planned to…

But it wasn't planned.

Her grin only wavered a little.

"Hy… Hyuuga-kun?" Sasuke had to take a disturbed step back.

That question seemed to make up her mind, school bag and umbrella left in the temporary shelter Hinata rushed out into the rain.

Sasuke stumbled out of her way but found there was little need to. Hinata had spun cheerfully around where he had been standing and was currently twirling in the rain.

Uchiha felt his grip on his umbrella loosen.

Uchiha Sasuke had been in the student council ever since his first year of high school; he's known Hinata since junior high, she'd been in the student council back then as well, he'd never really talked to her other than about business but he had noticed her enough to know this was distinctly out of character.

Hinata bubbled with laughter and tripped over with a splash. She was soaked and laughing joyfully about it.

But in all the time he'd watched the shy girl he'd never seen her quite so happy. Her smile was awkward, almost as if she wasn't used to it, but he much preferred it to the polite smile she had in her normal day to day life.

The smile that was slightly forced.

He'd never heard her laugh like that either. He'd heard small giggles but this was hardy laughter. Awkward, still very awkward, but it was still happy.

Sasuke sighed and shook his head; she was going to catch a cold this way…

…not that he particularly cared, he just wanted to make sure that he had all the members of the student council healthy…

right… and he wasn't blushing at the soaked white shirt.

Hinata blinked in surprise when she couldn't feel rain drops anymore. A curious look above proved that someone was holding an umbrella over her head.

"You're going to catch a cold." Sasuke kept his matter-of-fact tone and signature serious expression firm but he couldn't hide his slightly red cheeks.

Hinata, luckily, didn't notice.

She looked like a little girl with her hand caught in the cookie jar.

"U-Uchiha-kun…!"

'You just noticed I was here?!' Sasuke nodded dryly, as if daring her to point out the obvious any further.

The girl looked torn. She glanced at her long forgotten school stuff and felt the immediate urge to stand up and retrieve it.

It's what she was supposed to do.

Sasuke watched the inner conviction without interest before finally sighing and dropping his own umbrella.

The Hyuuga girl sent him a look of shock and he shrugged flippantly before offering a rare smile.

"The rain feels nice, ne?"

It took her a moment to respond, and when she did so she had her own awkward smile.

"Mm!"

((Ending Notes: Truth be told, this was originally inspired by 'DateMe's April contest XD I didn't make the deadline though.

Cheers to SasuHina cuteness! :3
