My Other Half

Disclaimer: I don't own Sky High or any of its characters, yada yada yada…

Summary: Sequel to Dear Diary and Nobody Wins. Zach and Magenta have broken up – but will they stay that way?

Author's Notes:

I was debating whether or not to do another sequel after Nobody Wins. But after people began protesting about Zach and Magenta's breakup, I figured I might as well. So… here's the third – and most likely the last- story in the Series of Love and Heartbreak of Zach & Magenta (I've got caffeine running through my system, ignore the weirdness).

Magenta sat staring at her dinner, listening to the rain beat down and reflect her mood. 'If I only hadn't pushed him away,' she thought bitterly, 'We would still be together and everything would be fine.' Magenta sighed, and realised that it had been exactly six months since Zach had broken up with her. And they had been the longest six months of her life. She slid her chair back and stood up, suddenly feeling the urge to go out. "Mum, I'm going for a walk," she called to the silent house. 'I may as well talk to a brick wall. Actually, I'd probably get a response from a brick wall,' she thought, rolling her eyes as she took her jacket from the hat stand by the door and went out into the pouring rain.

Zach lay on his bed listening to the CD for what seemed to be the millionth time. He sighed, watching the rain fall down, somehow reminding him of Magenta when she was angry about something. Why did he break up with her? Sure, the relationship was hard work – but wasn't every relationship? Didn't every relationship have its ups and downs? Wasn't that what made a good relationship? He dragged himself off his bed, and grabbed a jacket from his closet. He wanted, no, he needed to talk to Magenta.

It was only when Magenta crashed into him she realised she was walking in the direction of Zach's house.

"Oh, um… hi, Zach," she said, looking around wildly for somewhere to run and hide away from the world.

"Hey," he replied. "I was just going over to your house to talk to you." He felt like he needed to explain things to her.

"What… what did you want to talk to me about?" Magenta shook away the images of her and Zach getting back together- she had ruined all chances of that happening. What kind of girlfriend pushed her boyfriend away and made him feel unwanted? A bad one, that's what kind.

Zach wasn't sure how to put his feelings into words, so he just leant over and kissed her. "I know you probably wouldn't want to get back together after how I treated you, but-" Magenta smiled. She couldn't help it, once he started babbling about something, he would never stop. Magenta shook her head and he stopped.

"I want to be with you Zach. You're like… you're like my other half." Zach smiled at her, leant in, and kissed her again.

Fini

Okay that was such a cheesy ending… oh well. Magenta and Zach are back together. YAY!
