Prompt 1: Sweet
Aeris liked sweet things – she supposed it was expected of her, anyway.
Prompt 2: Sour
On the other hand, Zack liked sour things – the kind of sour that made you tear and scrunch up you face. He always used it to prank the General, and sometimes used it on Aeris, too. But Aeris always forgave him, because underneath the sour was sugar, and all the more so because it was from Zack.
Prompt 3: Salty
Salty things were generally bad for your health, but Aeris couldn't help it when a few tears slipped past her lips, onto her tongue.
Prompt 4: Bitter
Truthfully, she wouldn't have minded dying, because the bitterness that weighed down on her hurt too much; and anyway, if she died, she could join Zack in the Lifestream.
Prompt 5: Spicy
She felt the spice of anger every now and then, of course. She especially felt it when she met the blonde that had been Zack's subordinate – and that had very conveniently forgotten him.
Prompt 6: Blood
Always being protected by the people around her, Aeris wasn't really familiar with the metallic tang that invaded her mouth now. But it would soon be over, and –
Prompt 7: Peace
The Lifestream didn't have a taste, just a texture – light, floating. Most people would have been more than content, but Aeris only found peace when she felt Zack's strong arms wrap around her again, reassuring and gentle.
Prompt 8: Favourite
And when Zack kissed her, she was truly happy – somehow, his lips tasted like sugar.
