The Brothers Flub

"Guapo's Guilt"

Guapo Flub sat alone in his and Fraz's room at Retrograde, feeling great guilt and remorse for Fraz's tragic life. The truth was was that he blamed himself for all of the pain and suffering Fraz went through. His stupidity and optimism caused Fraz's paranoia and doom. Fraz's words "This is all your fault" rang through his head echoing. Fraz was right, it was all his fault. Since they were children his foolishness caused doom to befall Fraz. When they were babies and broke their mother's vase, he blamed it on Fraz-which got poor Fraz in trouble. That time they delivered that lamp to The Land Of TV Moms and Fraz's accidentally broke the lamp, he made Fraz lie to the moms about it, which resulted in them taking care of giant babies for a week on The Land Of Giant Crying Babies as punishment.

Looking back on it he wished he would have stood up for Fraz-telling them that Fraz hadn't meant to break their lamp, that Fraz wanted to tell them the truth, but that he made him lie to them, and not to punish him for it. That would have been the right thing to do. But at the time he had been stupid and selfish. He admitted that he wasn't the best brother-that there had been times when he had been selfish, and had gotten Fraz into trouble by being a bad influence on him. That incident involving the lamp and Land Of TV Moms had been one of them.

Another incident when he had been selfish was that time he and Fraz met Nermal in Muncie, Indiana, and Fraz had started becoming like Nermal. Guapo had been jealous and non- supportive of Fraz's makeover and personality change. He had been afraid of losing Fraz to Nermal, and even went as far as forbidding Fraz from seeing Nermal.

A tear fell from Guapo's eye, and he wiped it away. If anything ever happened to Fraz, he would never forgive himself. He loved Fraz more than anyone in the universe, and wanted what was best for him.
