I've always lived in the present. Laughing and living each day to the fullest. But today is different. Today I'm fighting with my rival. I'm fighting to save the world from these damn dragons, and I'm fighting to save her. Today I can't think about anything but the future of one person.
I can't let her get hurt. Not before I tell her. This is it. This could be the end of the world. I can't die here without letting her know how I feel. I can't. I turn to make sure she's okay. "Look out!" I yell as I see a beam of light heading toward her. Jumping, I grab her and push her out of harm's way.
She gets that embarrassed look just like she does every time we come into contact, muttering something about me. "Juvia, I need to tell you something."
Her face is shocked at first but then lights up. Even though she's been beaten and bruised I don't think she's ever seemed cuter than that smile she gave me just then. "What is it?!" She beamed.
"No…It's nothing important, but…" I have to hurry. This isn't the time nor the place to be confessing, but I have to tell her. I hear Lyon shout her name. We loom up and see one of those damn dragons. I don't even think before shoving Juvia out of the way. The pain hits me like nothing I've ever felt. All I taste is liquid metal.
More dragons appear, and they fire at me. I wonder if they realize that I'm already more dead than I am alive. This can't be happening. I can be die before I tell her-
My thoughts are cut short. I look to Juvia, I've never seen a more pained, heartbroken expression. It kills me. It's the last thing I see before…nothing.
