CALLING ALL SWAC WRITERS!
It has come to my attention that there are multiple challenges (namely the 100 word challenge and the iPod Shuffle challenge) out there that people are doing.
Rather than go with the flow, I've decided to spice it up a bit (and exploit something very obvious to myself).
Presenting…
Roach's Channy Anime OST/OVA Song Challenge!
It's simple, really:
Go to tenshi (dot) ru (slash) anime (dash) ost (sans the spaces and use the symbols indicated in the parentheses) after opening up your internet browser.
Choose a song from any anime (from the site provided, of course).
Listen to the song.
Write a Channy fanfic to the song that you chose (one-, two-, three-, or a fourshot).
Post the fic on .
??!!
PROFIT.
Rules. Let me show you them:
You MUST mention the song title AND the anime OST/OVA album the song is from, and you can do ONLY one.
There can be angst, but please, nobody wants to drown in it…
There can be fluff, but not so much that it rots people's teeth.
If the song is translated into English, that's ok. Just try not to translate yourself. That's what the internet is for (and, to be quite honest, I thought it was only for pr0n, too).
Speaking of pr0n, keep all kissing scenes within a K+ to T rating. No M, please.
Also speaking of pr0n, Rule 34 will be in effect whenever there IS a kiss.
Yes, I went there.
Review or PM saying that you're in.
If there is humor, try and keep it original. No corn, please.
The clock starts TODAY, Friday, 07 August, 2009 and ends when school begins (31 August, barring any setbacks and variations for people). (Chop, chop, people!)
To be qualified for judging, you need to include (in the summary) that you're doing this challenge.
Have fun!
Judging will be based on the following criteria:
CREATIVITY—
Be creative and choose something that no one else will do. It helps to write something that stands out. It adds flair.
BREVITY—
Keep it short, at least a fourshot at max. If possible, go for the overkill and do an oneshot, which will net you bonus points.
STYLE—
Try and create something that's unique, but easy to read. If no one can understand you or your story's plot, then kiss your chances of winning goodbye, my friend.
LITERACY—
I cannot stress this enough. Be literate and use proper grammar and spelling. I know, it's hard, but I can tell you that grammar and spelling actually make a difference in a story. Also, many word processing programs have built-in proofreading systems, so you can pretty much ace this category.
So…who's ready? I'm going to judge this competition. (If you wanna judge as well, just PM me and we'll talk.)
Oh, wait, there's PRIZES!
15 THIRD PLACE WINNERS GET: A review for one story (that you've written, of course).
10 SECOND PLACE WINNERS GET: A review for one story and a favorite for the same story.
5 FIRST PLACE WINNERS GET: A review for one story, a favorite for the same story, and a story alert for another story.
ONE GRAND PRIZE WINNER WILL GET: Three reviews for any three stories of your choice, three favorite'd stories, and three story alerts.
Want those prizes? You gotta get crackin'! (I had to use the linebreak thingy to seperate the sections, so yeah...)
