He watches me. Waiting. His cold, unblinking eyes burning into my very soul. I want to scream, but I can't. He seems to torture me from the inside. He creeps forward unnaturally, knife in hand. I want to close my eyes, I want to turn away, but instead they stay open, like the monster's in front of me. He climbs onto the edge of my silk bed. His awful wide mouth gaping. He mocks me, waiting for me to close my eyes. The words he whispers into my ear chills me to the bone. "Just go to sleep..."
My eyes widen in terror as he slides his knife from my mouth to my ear. Blood drips quickly and I scream. My parents bust open the door and my mom shrieks with unholy fear. The killer stares at them, and smiles a demonic, wicked smile and runs at them with speed unimaginable. I finally close my eyes, afraid of what is to come. Then I heard it. The gush. The sound of blood running from a once living being. "Dad!" I yell, but its too late. He falls to the floor, his heart had been tore out. My mother dies next. And that's when the police arrive. The sirens screech into the midnight air. The blood covered killer glances at me, my own blood covering my clothes. He leaps out the window and I hear a male voice. The cop kicks down the door to my room. I look at him weakly, my mouth slit, and nothingness takes me.
I wake up in the hospital as a nurse comes in. I try to talk, but too much pain is present. I raise my pounding head so the nurse knew I was awake. "Can you speak?" She asks me. I slowly shake my head, and raise my hand to my cheek. There, where I place my hand, was a large gash littered with stitches. I don't recall what had happened, so I try to ask the nurse. She simply ignores my hand on her shoulder, and for some reason, anger ignites within me. I hear murmuring from the other side of the door after the nurse leaves.
"Did you tell her?" A male voice asks.
"Tell her what? That her parents are-" The voice is cut off and I scramble back to the hospital bed. What happened to my parents?I wonder. But suddenly, I recall the horrific night.
"That- that monster." I finally manage to mumble. "That killer. He killed my parents." I begin to sob and shake uncontrollably. The nurse comes into the hospital room and whispers; "It's true, but you need to calm down." A doctor walks into the room and gives me and injects a small needle into my vein. Dizziness settles inside my head too strong to fight. So I give in.
