Samantha Puckett was in a very difficult situation at the moment. Not a normally difficult situation where you can wriggle your way out at the last moment. No, this was something she was suddenly sucked into, the only way out closing up a long time ago. She couldn't put into words the feelings she had at the moment. She was anxious and uncomfortable, yet happier than she'd ever been in her life. It was a first, and it was all too confusing for Samantha.
She spied her friend out of the corner of her eye, splashing around in the water with Freddie. She let out a long sigh as she looked the young girl over. Carly Shay was her name, and although Carly is a bit more on the girly side, she and Sam had been friends since either of them could remember. Her dark brown hair stuck to her skin, wet with sea water and sweat. It gave a soft glow to her skin that Sam could not keep her eyes away from. Her beautiful eyes, a deep shade of chocolate, contrasted perfectly with her pale, smooth expanse of skin. Her bright smile and cute laughter could lift anyone's spirits. Sam took another moment to let her eyes roam over her friend. Then, as she looked back up at Carly's face, Sam felt a large amount of guilt wash over her. Carly looked at her for a bit, flashing Sam that perfect little smile she seemed to love and rolled her eyes.
"Are you coming in or not Sam?" she yelled your way. You quickly nod and stand up in one fluid motion. As you brushed the sand from your backside, you came to a simple conclusion to a question that had been nagging you for the past two years. You were in love with Carly Shay, your co-worker, your best-friend, and love of your life.
