First date
It was mid-December at Hogwarts and everyone was getting into the Christmas spirit, even Sirius had joined the fun by donning himself a Santa hat and taking it upon himself to harass every girl who passed him by asking if they wanted to view his "12 inch elf". So far all he had received were a dozen slaps to the face and one 5th year Hufflepuff slipping him her number. Needless to say James Potter was expecting it to be just another ordinary Christmas. That was until he stumbled across Lily Evans on the way to dinner.
Lily Evans was the girl he had been in love with since first year. Sure he'd gone out with other girls, but none of them even began to compare to lily. It was also a fact that she would never love him back. Ever. He had asked her out a few times over the years and every single time she had said no. Still he never gave up on her.
Recently he had been avoiding lily in an attempt to try and move on. He thought he had moved on , at least until they began to talk again and his feelings began to resurface. And once again James Potter found himself wondering about just how great a couple they would make. And just like every other time, before he could stop himself, he asked lily if she would go on a date with him. He knew the answer would be no. the answer was always no. except this time it wasn't. This time lily Evans said yes.
Tonight was the night of the date and James felt as though he was going to be sick. He knew if he screwed this up there would be no more dates and no more Lily. Tonight had to be absolutely perfect.
"Oh god I look like a twat don't I?" James asked staring at his new dress robes
"I think you look dashing" replied Sirius sarcastically "truly marvellous"
"Ignore him James, you look fine" answered Remus
"I don't want to look just fine Moony. I need tonight to be perfect"
"Ok listen up and listen good, tonight will be great alright? Obviously Evans sees something in you now that she didn't before and if she hates you after this then stuff her, she isn't worth it." Stated Sirius
"Ok I guess you're right. Well I'm off now wish me luck yea?"
"Good luck" Remus called after him
"Do you need a good luck kiss?" Yelled Sirius
"Thanks but i'm good" replied James
"Suit yourself" mumbled Sirius
James was walking down the stairs to the boys dormitories when he saw her. Lily Evans looked beautiful. He guessed he probably had one of the best views in the castle right now. Just at that moment she spotted him.
"Hi James" she smiled up at him
"Hey" he replied while showing his goofiest grin.
It was at that moment James Potter knew this would be the girl he marries.
