What Did Hermione Win?
"Reviled did I live," said I, "as evil I did deliver!"
Snape frowned at Hermione as she stood with her arms crossed, frowning back at him.
"Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era?" she snapped. Snape raised one eyebrow rather appreciatively at the witch.
"Did I do, O God, did I as I said I'd do? Good! I did," he remarked with a slight drawl.
"Do geese see God?" Hermione demanded.
Harry ambled into the open classroom door and watched them as they continued their strange conversation. Ron entered behind him, and peered around the boy-who-lived, both red brows furrowed.
"What are they doing?" he asked Harry who shrugged.
"I have no idea, but it's intense, whatever it is," Harry replied.
"Drab as a fool, aloof as a bard," Snape sneered at the bushy-haired witch, who looked afronted as she turned red.
"I prefer pi," Hermione said a bit loftily.
"Evil did I dwell, lewd I did live," Snape said sharply.
"Ergo, an ogre," Hermione said with a hint of a smile.
"I am not an ogre!" Snape huffed.
"I win!" Hermione cried, a broad smile on her face. "Fifty points for Gryffindor if you please, professor!"
"What? What did she win?" Ron asked Harry, who once again shrugged.
"I don't know," Harry replied. "But she sure looks happy and Snape looks like he bit into a lemon. That's got to be something good."
