Encounter
Always passing glace in public, the only memorable time you secretly fawn to his presence.
Most times in a morning commute to a world meeting or just a random passer by at your favourite local cafe. You just couldn't help but get lost in thought. As much as you wanted to approach and talk to him...the more your hands got clamy and some of the repressed anxiety would surface.
That all changed one day.
You had a day off from work and decided to go out on the town and get some fresh air.
Starting off with going to the local cafe, ordering the same things and making your way to your favored seating area. You hear the door chime, and you quickly glance to see who came in. You feel your heart flutter and you felt like rubbing your eyes in disbelief...but there he was.
You fawned quietly and looked outside and at the people walking by. Your thoughts were briefly interrupted by a soft soothing voice.
"Mind if I sit here? You look awful lonely".
In shock you couldn't believe Alfred was talking to you.
"Umm. Sure". The tone came out slightly higher pitched and you already made yourself embarrassed.
Alfred broke the ice and eventually the two of you hit it off rather nicely. Both of you got to know each other and talked about the things you were most passionate about.
You exchanged phone numbers and he offered to meet up again sometime to chat and hangout.
"Shall I walk you home (y/n)?". Alfred asked, extending a hand as a gesture to help you off the chair.
"You d-don't mind?". Your face turned a slight shade of red as you found yourself stuttering a bit.
"Not at all. I am the hero after all. It's the least I can do for a pretty thing such as yourself". He boasted, smirking confidently.
Blushing by the flattery, he helped you off the chair, opened the door for you and walked by your side until you arrived home safely.
"I hope to see you again soon! Today was great!". Alfred waved to you and made his way off.
You headed on inside. Closing the door behind you, you pressed your back against the door. You sighed and gushed to the point you ended up on the floor somehow.
This had to be some dream...
