So, This is a story I got an idea from in a dream. I used to be alygrace. Enjoy :)

"Princess Mara Elizabeth! You're 16th birthday party starts in and hour, are you dressed yet?" calls my maid, Margaret.

"Yes." I say. I really do not want to go to this party, but my parents had insisted. I have never really liked parties, even though I am the daughter of Queen Judith and King Steven of England. I despise being a princess, I cannot go to school like my best friend, Esther, can. I feel so secluded. And I am aware that my and my parent's safety is the kingdom's main priority, but I want to be normal. Esther is the only person coming to the party that I know. The rest are friends of my parents or kings and queens of nearby kingdoms. I dress in my favorite elegant white ball gown and take one of the clips mother had made me and clipping my long black hair to the back. As I walk down the stairs the wonderful smell of cabbage soup invades my nose. Our chef, Chef Edward, every year makes the cabbage soup for my birthday because it is my favorite.

"Princess?!" shouts Margaret.

"Yes, Margaret?" I ask.

"You need your crown! Your mother will cut my head off if you go to your party without your crown!"

"Yes, yes! I will go to the vault and get it."

I begin to walk down the hallway when I see Esther in the the already- large crowd outside. I yell for her, but she does not hear. I keep walking to the crown vault. When I get my crown I go outside and find Esther in the crowd. Esther had vibrant blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes.

"Essie?" I call out. No answer.

"Essie!" I shout as I see her. She runs over and hugs me.

"Hello, Mara!" she exclaims.

"Hi, Esther!" I say.

"Mara, dear. We need to go." says my mother.

"Yes, mother." I say and walk up to the front of the room with her. My father is waiting for us.

"Hello, one and all!" my father starts, "We have a big announcement!"

"We have chosen who Princess Mara Elizabeth will marry!" my mother exclaims.

"WHAT?!" I scream.

"She is going to marry Prince Isaac of Hampton!" my mother says.

The party resumes and I run off to the center of town. I look around and hide behind a stable. I then start sobbing, I do not want to marry Prince Isaac.

I believe in marriage for love, not by force, but apparently it is mandatory for the father to choose the husband. I hear footsteps.

"Hello?" a male voice calls out.

"Father?" I ask.

"No." the man says looking at me, or shall I say adolescent,

"Princess Mara?"

"That's Princess Mara ELIZABETH to you."

"Oh. Fine, Princess Mara ELIZABETH."

"Don't you dare have that attitude towards royalty. I can have you killed or put in the dungeon. Who are you anyway?"

"I'm Jerome Clarke."
