Author Notes: I am devasted so I'm writing this to cheer myself up. Love Jim and Carmel and I hate how Hollyoaks ended their amazing relationship.
Happy Ending
Jim McGinn pulled his suitcase across the ground as he seen his beautiful Carmel Valentine waiting for him with her suitcase. John-Paul McQueen was on the opposite side with Kathleen-Angel by his side. They had to get her away so the spiteful Sonny Valentine doesn't go phoning the police.
"Carmel!" Jim called with a happy smile as he gave her a wave; she looked over as she was smiling back. She looked so happy.
He pushed past the crowd; Fraser Black holding the knife in his hand though he failed his mission as it just missed Jim as he got lost in the crowd. Jim made his way towards Carmel untouched.
"Jim" Carmel spoke with such joy.
As she wrapped both of her arms around him, holding onto him tightly. She loved him so much and nothing could change that. She gave him a kiss on his lips before pulling away a few moments later.
"Well; here we are" John-Paul spoke, as he let Kathleen-Angel run towards 'Auntie Carmel' and Jim.
Carmel looked at her brother, knowing she won't see him again for a while. Though she would ring him every day. Though this is how it has to be otherwise Jim will likely get into more trouble and she can't let him leave alone. She loves him too much to let him go.
"Thank you" Jim told John-Paul, who gave a nod back, he does like Jim and he thinks he is good for his sister.
She gave her a brother a quick hug as she let some tears fall down. She will miss her family so much and she wished that she didn't have to leave. She has come to dislike Sonny quite a lot, she wishes she never called him. She regrets telling him about Theresa.
"I will miss you so much" Carmel told him, still with tears falling down her cheek.
John-Paul gave a half-hearted smile.
"You will be able to call us every day" John-Paul reminded her.
She shrugged.
"It won't be the same though" Carmel replied.
Wiping away the rest of her tears. Though she knows that Jim makes her feels happy and she wouldn't want to lose him. She will be able to cope, especially with the knowledge that Jim and Kathleen-Angel will be by her side.
"Look's like this is your bus" John-Paul told them, as he seen a bus which he knew was the way to the airport.
Carmel looked a little startled as she gave John-Paul another quick hug. Jim picked up the suitcases as he watched them say their goodbyes. Kathleen-Angel was by Carmel's side now as Jim stood at the entrance of the bus.
"Look after them, yeah" John-Paul told him, Jim gave a nod back, of cause he was going to.
Carmel gave him one last hug before she got on the bus with Kathleen-Angel, dragging their suitcases across the border. Carmel went near the window with the little girl on her knee, she promised Theresa she would take care of her and she wants to keep that promise.
"Are you okay, peaches?" Jim asked her, she was looking at the window, giving her brother a wave until he was out of sight.
She looked back towards him, everything was going to be okay; as she moved closer to him. He had his arm around her.
"I can already see you cleaning up after the donkey's" Jim teased, she playfully nudged him, still keeping a tight hold of Kathleen-Angel.
The little girl seemed confused.
"Where are we going?" Kathleen-Angel asked them.
"Were going on a big holiday; me and Jim are taking you to Spain; do you like that?" Carmel asked her.
She just gave a nod and a small smile, she expected to come back of cause.
...
About two hours later, Jim and Carmel were finally on the plane. Kathleen-Angel fell asleep. They both sat down; Jim carrying the little girl to the seat. Carmel sitting besides him, still feeling a little bit down.
"Everything will be okay; you know that?" Jim asked her as he held onto her hand.
"Yeah, of cause" Carmel replied with a small smile.
