Summary: Rio shows his appreciation for Mele's new Gen Jyu Ken form.
"It's all for you, Rio-sama." Mele declared as she stood before Rio in her new Phoenix-ken body. The power felt indescribable. She felt beautiful, almost invincible. She wanted Rio to see… to appreciate it and with it, her love.
"How elegant, Mele-sama." Long murmured approvingly. "It's a wonderful form. Even better than your old one. Don't you agree, Sanyo?"
The basilisk-ken user nodded. "It's interesting, yo." It amuses me that she would embrace the power of the phoenix." He turned to the future Gen Jyu Oh. "But what do you think, Rio-sama?"
There was a pause as Rio stood up and Mele watched with rapt attention as he came towards her. His intense dark gaze sent a shiver up her spine and her mind flashed back to that night in the graveyard when he had revived her. She remembered trembling in his presence, knowing that he possessed great power and how she'd hoped, even from that moment, that they would become an even greater love. She was almost trembling now.
Rio came to a slow stop before her. "Mele…" he murmured. His eyes took in the green and gold body, traveling over the soft curves, silently critiquing the details. He inhaled. "Mele, you look beautiful."
She gasped softly. Had Rio finally stood up and taken notice of her? She stared at her feet for a half a second kneeling in before him. "Thank you…" Her voice was semi-hesitant. "Rio-sama."
"Stand up." Rio's voice was a half whisper. "Let me see you again."
Mele stood up, her knees shaking and she stared into the intense eyes she had grown to love so much.
"You are beautiful, Mele." He told her. "I can't wait to see the power that comes with such beauty." He tilted her chin up a bit to admire her again.
"I can't wait to show you my power." She was surprised that she could still speak. "Don't worry, Rio-sama. I will do more than just impress you. You'll embrace this great new power."
Her words were suddenly cut off by him pressing his lips to hers, pulling her golden body close to him.
The newborn Phoenix-ken completely froze. If Rio hadn't been holding her, she probably would have passed out on the spot. She wanted to make time stop completely so the moment would never end.
But all too soon, the moment did end and Rio gently let go of her. "Dear Mele "came the breathy whisper. "Show me your new power. Test it out on the Gekirangers."
He didn't even have to ask.
"I will Rio-sama." She whispered, touching her lips with a finger, her heart beating rapidly. For this moment, she felt more alive, more desired than ever before. "I will…"
