It all started that night in early October. That was the night I saw her that was the night I knew would change the rest of my life.

It was late and the wind was gently blowing making the air chill. That's when I first met her. Her hair was a dark shade of gold and it flowed in waves to adorn her glowing, ivory skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were a bright, emerald-green with slight crimson, she had been crying. She whipped away her tears by her charming button nose and full lips she seemed the picture of perfection. I saw all this in one fleeting glance as she turned and saw me in the shadows. Well not seeing the true me.

The poor young girl who I was yet to find out her name , sat silently under a tree in the dark the only light was the dull street lamp illuminating a circle near a bench.

It wasn't my intention for her to see me, I was just around like I always was on crisp nights, she sat watching cars pass by the high raised hill she was sitting on which lead in to town. She closed her eyes and a look of pure agony set in her face, before slowly she opened them again only to stare at the church only a small walk away.

She reminded me of me when I was lost the first place I would go to would be somewhere no one would find me and I had plenty of space to dwell in my thoughts wasn't sure how long she had been sitting there for but a giveaway was she was holding herself trying to keep herself warm. It must have been a while. I made a rustling sound behide she looked only to see a Fox.

She gazed at me and even though ,broken as it seemed she smiled at me.

"aren't you cute" she got up and walked slowly towards me trying to unties me to go to her like I was a puppy lost. I didn't go though instead I did what animals do I looked as if I was hunting food.

She walked away only to get her phone out. She slide the first panel and dialed a number. At this point I couldn't hear her she was to far away , so I ran towards her catching the end of her conversation

"I think its best i stay away for good this time. Goodbye" she hung up the phone she sounded tore up and depressed. I watched her this time getting much closer. She smiled taking out her phone and taking a picture of me.

"Are you following me Mr." she tried to smile. I bowed my head down and lay in the grass. She sighed deeply and went back in her jacket pocket this time bringing out a little silver box.

"I won't tell anyone if you don't." she looked at me on the ground "Desperate times call for desperate measures" I raised my head watching her pick up a cigarette and slowly put it to her lips then lighting it with a silver Zippo.

She gently inhaled on the cigarette looking up and releasing the smoke in to the night air. She looked at the cigarette and spoke quietly "I should quit" she took another drag before deciding to stump it out and flick it away. Suddenly as I watched her I heard a deep male voice near her.

I thought quickly. I could hear his thoughts

'Fresh and not to young'

Using my human voice I made a deep terrifying noise behide her. Causing her to jump out of her seat and walked always run to the safety of lights and back home, I followed her to the ally way going to her home. I could hear her heart racing and her thoughts tumble around her head.

"ok I didn't like that .what you trying to do .give me a heart attack" she thought in her head.

"your mind is just playing tricks on you Kayla just calm down"

However much talking she was doing inside her head didn't stop her from practically running back to her house.
