Disclamer I don't own the characters of How to train your dragon, nor do I own Una, Boden or Orus, nor do I own Dragon city or the song I loved her first by Heartland.

A.N. this story takes place in the modern times In the fictional City of Dragon City. So Stoick is still alive, this also happens years down the road when Una's in her 20s.

I Loved her first

Valka smiled, nuzzling up to her husband slighty. Stoick smiled carresing his wife's cheek. "She looks so happy, doesn't she Stoick?" the leader of the Berk disterect smiled, kissing his wife's head. "yes…she does."

A couple years ago a boy named Orus came to Dragon City, after getting all the papers required for him to officaly live in the Berk district were completed and he was settled into his house, he met Boden Haddock in College, and later his older brother Hiccup and younger Sister Una. It was love at first sight for Orus. He asked Una out not long after, she acepted, and on Una's twenty first birthday he proposed; just as Stoick had done with Valka.

And their they were twenty years on, watching their daughter Una, and her now husband Orus, glide around the dance floor, at their wedding day.

Stoick had a protective arm around Valka's sholders, as he thought to himself. "look at the two of them." Stoick heard Boden mutter. He grinned over at his father. "Their lost in the moment and in each other's face." Hiccup laughed. "What do you think Boden?"

"…It feels like were being ignored;like they're the only ones in the room." Boden replyed nudging Hiccup.

Stoick stood up, kissed valka's cheek and whispered to her. "I'll be right back. I need some fresh air." Valka nodded before beginning to talk with her son's.

Outside Stoick shoved his hands into his pockets carelessly, still thinking of the days when Una was just a little girl and he was her number one man.

"Daddy?"

"yes Una?"

"I decided something earlier."

"what is that princess?"

"I don't need a husband."

Stoick looked at his six-year-old daughter."oh why's that?"

"Because daddy. You're my daddy. I don't need another man."

Stoick had laughed at that smiling at his daughter.

'She'snot my little girl anymore…' stoick thought sadly. 'However she still means the world to me…Orus better be careful when he holds my daughter.

Stoick stayed outside for another ten minutes, before deciding to go back inside.

Two hours later, it was time for the father daughter dance. Valka smiled gently, as Stoick and Una danced to the song Valka chose for them.

Una smiled gently at the chourus of the song, and Stoick did too. Ater the weding Stoick aproched Orus while his daughter was talking to her mother.

"Orus."

"Stoick, how are you?"

"I want to tell yu something."

"okay.."

Stoick smiled at him."I allowed you to know my daughter,I allowed you to date my daughter,I allowed yu to marry my daughter. I know you love her-"

"Sorry to interupt sir, but..who couldn't?" Orus's eyes trailed to his wife, and he smiled. With her blond hair with vibrant lilac tips and her bright blue eyes, she was everything Orus wanted.

"I know…but remember one thing, Orus."

"what?"

"I loved her first."

That night Stoick smiled down at Valka's sleeping body, and he gently stood up, before knocking on Orus and Una's door. Like expected, Una answered.

"Daddy?"

"Una…I want you to know one thing."

"What?"

"I loved you first."

"We know."

Two years later, Orus's first daughter Freja was born. Orus smiled over at Stoick and turned to him. " Stoick?"

"Yes?"

"I can't wait to tell the man Freja loves that I loved her first. Same goes for any other daughters we might have."

Stoick laughed, and Freja herself giggled as she was placed in her father's arms.

Everyone in the Berk district knew one thing; Stoick loved Una first.

They were about to find out that Orus loved Freja and any other daughter's he might have first.
