At the Royal Woods public park, Luna Loud sat alone close to a pond, throwing rocks at the water and watching them either bounce all the way across the body of water... Or just sink like boring old rocks. She was in a contemplative mood, specially after what happened earlier...

Speaking of earlier...

The rockstar tried to practice playing her guitar while there was a lot of loud noises coming from outside. Now, the Loud house was, of course, very loud in general, but the noise normally came from the human inhabitants. These noises were more animalistic, and definitely more varied than the dog, cat, bird and hamster the general family had for pets.

So, once the noises became too much for Luna, the rocker wannabe got off her bed and went outside to see a bunch of frogs, snakes and other animals running... crawling... moving around the house. No doubt these belonged to her younger sister, Lana.

"What the bloody heck is going on?!" Luna exclaimed right as the tomboy entered the scene. "Lana, I thought you said you put these guys in their cages last night!"

"I did, but they were taken out of their cages last night," Lana explained as she and Luna grabbed as many of the animals as possible. "And worst of all, somebody took their cages as well! Probably Lisa."

The genius growled "I have a shortage of cages, okay?!" from afar.

Once they had gathered all the pets and found some new cages, Luna and Lana put the animals in the cages and just as Lana dusted herself, Luna gave her a stern look. "Lana, I always wondered something, and now that I have the chance to ask," Luna said, taking a deep breath before asking the question: "Why did you convince mom and dad to get you your own pets if they're a handful to deal with?"

"Luna, you know I like animals," Lana replied with a shrug. "Besides, Charles, Cliff, Geo and Walt are family pets, so I would have to share time to pet and play with them, and I already share a lot of things in general! With my own pets, I don't have to share them with anybody!"

"But they're a pain to deal with! Specially when they get out of their cages," Luna argued. "Don't you ever regret having bought so many pets?"

"No, I'm just happy that I have them!" Lana answered cheerfully. "But I do understand, somewhat, why you would complain about them. But in my case, I'm happy with what I have, and I hope you understand eventually."

With that said, Lana left the room while Luna stood behind and looked at the ground and tried to think about Lana's words...

Back at the present...

"I'm sorry, Lana, but I still don't understand," the rocker wannabe said as she grabbed and threw another rock. "Why would you bother with so many pets? Why not just pick one single pet you can deal without much trouble?"

She grabbed another rock, and then got an idea. "Like a pet rock..."

So she looked at the rock, gave it a smile, then saved it in her pocket as she got up, left the park and returned home. She then went to the backyard and found Lana playing in the mud. You know, the usual.

"Oh hi, Luna!" the mud lover greeted as the rocker approached her. "What's up?"

"I got a gift for you," Luna stated.

Luna took out the rock and handed it to Lana, and the tomboy was surprisingly excited about the gift.

"I'm calling you, Rocky!" Lana stated.

Luna smiled, then crouched to Lana's height and put her hand on her shoulder while the tomboy played with Rocky.
