It was hard to sleep as the weather churned outside, and he pressed closer against his scars.

Toris had never felt perfectly comfortable in his body or at least not comfortable showing the marks that adorned his flesh from years upon years of violence.

Lithuania shifted around and felt Alfred's arms loop close and tug him tightly in through the small distance that once separated them.

"Alfred?" Toris muttered, still not used to the name that America insisted to call him.

"Yeah?" The American stifled a yawn and leaned closer to Toris.

"Can you not lay so close to me?" He shifted as if to move further away from Alfred as he felt the American's grip tighten for a second before loosening back up.

"What's the matter with it?" The lazy yet curious question felt far too intuitive for Alfred's normal behavior.

"Nothing really." Toris muttered as Alfred looked on before tugging him gently closer.

"If it's about sharing a bed, I can sleep on the floor or, " Alfred muttered, "Is it my scars? We all have our own."
Alfred shrugged as if his scars didn't marr his body in unforgiving ways.

"Do you mean it?" Toris muttered though felt Alfred shift as he considered Toris's answer.

"Yeah, I can sleep on the floor." Alfred smiled at him as if that was what the Lithuanian had meant.

Toris sighed, "No, you can sleep here."
Alfred's blue eyes shown for a second in confusion before he settled back down with another question on his tongue, "Are you really fine with sharing a bed?"

"I'm fine with it." Toris whispered with a smile as he curled closer against Alfred and tried to mirror every breath of his and relax among his frazzled nerves.

"Okay." Alfred muttered and held him close.

Toris wondered if somehow being held so gingerly by Alfred truly could chase away his nightmares and hold him at peace as they slept.

Either way, there was a safety and a security to be found in Alfred's arms as he finally fell asleep, the hours of worry, frantic worry, were finally gone as he cuddled closer and felt truly relaxed in the other man's arms as if they'd lived together for far longer than a single day.
