In 1985 a gate appeared in both East and West Germany, releasing a horde of medieval soldiers and mythical monsters onto the populace. With the quick response of both armed forces, the invaders were easily killed and pushed back into the Gate. The number of dead civilians was high, which led to outrage from both the Warsaw Pact and NATO. Both military alliances made an agreement to go through the Gate to find out who killed their people and bring them to justice. The task force that was assembled was made up of all the alliances' countries, making the total amount of troops 50,000. As the military went through the Gate and reached the other side, they immediately attacked the enemy forces that were waiting for them. The battle lasted only a few minutes. After days of building a base of operations, the Gate suddenly closed and disappeared, leaving the task force stranded. This did not scare the commanders they had the ability to get more reinforcements, even without the Gate. In addition, all power for the vehicles and buildings were fusion based and weapons didn't need to be reloaded. The commanders were not in a rush to leave the hill, so they quickly built up their air power, tanks and ground forces. Within half a day, they had 500,000 soldiers in their base. Next comes the decision to move into this new land and see what secrets it holds.
