A Twilight and Tangled Crossover:

The New Year Party – Chapter 1

Rapunzel and Leah Clearwater were chatting happily on the field around the back of Jacob's house. Then Jacob, Rapunzel's former lover, ran over.

"Rapunzel, Leah," Jacob said, as he approached them, "Bella called. She explained the Cullens are organising a party tonight for New Year."

"That sounds great, Jake," Rapunzel responded, "It will be nice to see the Cullens."

"Bella's hoping we'll go," Jacob told her.

"I'm sure it will be good," Leah said, with her tone of voice showing she was unsure.

Rapunzel noticed, as she was good at detecting body language.

"What's wrong, Leah?" Rapunzel asked.

"It's on vampire territory," Leah explained, "Vampires and wolves aren't meant to cross territories, except Jacob and Bella are an exception to this."

"It's because of an old treaty that was made long ago," Jacob added, "The chief, who's my grandfather, caught them hunting on our land. That's when the treaty was made."

Rapunzel slowly understood this fascinating story.

"That's why I don't want to go," Leah finished.

However, Rapunzel wanted her to come. Leah Clearwater was one of Rapunzel's best friends, since they had met over three months ago.

"Come on, Leah," Rapunzel encouraged, "It will be fun. Jacob told me your brother Seth is really good friends with the Cullens, especially Edward. You're his sister. You wouldn't want to disappoint him by not coming, would you?"

Leah couldn't find the words to reply. Jacob watched humorously, as Rapunzel put her persuasive powers into action.

"Oh…well…maybe I will go," Leah said.

Rapunzel had finally made Leah Clearwater, one of the most stubborn wolves in existence give into her persuading powers.

"Yes!" Rapunzel exclaimed in victory, "Leah, I knew you'd give in!"

The three of them laughed with pleasure and then got up and headed inside the house.
