Prophecies
...so you're going to suffer but be very happy...
Ron had laughed when Harry did that „prophecy" back then, but who would have thought that there was some truth in it? Granted he didn't discover the true meaning until a few months back and it had been years since that day in the fume-filled classroom.
Maybe it was just a coincident, but it is said that some prophecies take time to come true and even if Ron had sometimes talked about divinations as if it was total hogwash, deep in a part that didn't seem to have anything to do with his consciousness, he believed.
Perhaps it was a feeling in his gut. Divinations had always made him feel uneasy.
A lot of the stuff Professor Trelawney had said was just ridiculous and that had helped to put it out of his mind. But sometimes he had heard her voice in his dreams and he was afraid that it would come true. Talking about his fears would have been jinxing, so he kept quiet.
But right now, he thought about them because what Harry had seen in the tea leaves had come back to bite him in the arse. Currently in the form of a belt raining down on it...
...so you're going to suffer...
You got that part right buddy. "Ouch" he yelled but there was no answer. Only the cracking of the belt.
In the past the idea of one of the times when Harry got himself into a dangerous situation leading to his death had terrified Ron. But he was brought up to think of Harry Potter as some kind of invincible hero. More like Hero with a capital H.
"Ouch" there was that belt again.
"Somehow I didn't think I had your full attention and I want that to change..."
"Well I was thinking about the past." Ron answered. "All the time I acted like a total jerk because I needed this." He looked at his one true love. A smile on his face.
"In that case I will have a little trip back memory road myself." The belt swung higher this time. CRACK. "Ahhhhh ouch"
...so you're going to suffer but be very happy...
Some prophecies do come true, even if you don't believe it could ever happen. But Ronald Weasley felt, that he was very happy indeed – even if he would suffer for quiet sometime from this and he could be sure there would be more suffering in the future, no, more like - because of things like this – as hard it had been for him to grasp the concept, he knew that he could never be happy without the pain.
Okay, this idea was stuck in my head for quiet some time. Always wondered why no one else ever did something about that line... Had a few different ideas but after a lot of consideration went with that one.
