Surely enough moments after the Coulson left, leaving the kids in an awkward silence, an unmarked van pulled up and a door automatically opened. It didn't take a second before the Ginger girl, that Sage had already forgotten the name of, jumped from her seat like a whippet
"Come on!" She beamed back at the rest of the people and leapt into the van, bucking her seatbelt shortly followed by the other girl. Beck or something? Sage thought throwing back the remainder of her coffee as both the boys stood with her making their way a little less eagerly to the van. Once all five where buckled in, it took off. This was it.
It was a long silent ride. The youngest boy rummaged in his messenger bag and pulled out a laptop half way though beginning to click away. Beck, the girl with the only name Sage could actually remember just sat staring out of the window despite the fact that they were heavily tinted. Enough to spoil the scenery in the eyes of Sage. The one thing she couldn't keep her eyes off though, was that huge metal band covering that older guy's forearm. She tried to make it look like she wasn't starting, not like she'd care if he called her out on it.
"It's a tracking and monitoring device." The smooth voice explained. That was the first time Sage had looked to his face, the older boy wrapping on it and listening to the clink after running a hand through his military perfect hair. "I'm on probation."
"Is that supposed to impress me?" Sage answered with no tone to her voice, turning to look at the others around her. "Because I'm pretty sure we're all on probation." Dalton scoffed stilling perfectly upright.
"Well Coulson told me all about this little team. Really talked it up. I thought it could be pretty interesting. Didn't expect to be babysitting though, i must say." The man raised his eyebrow at the three younger people in the van.
"Excuse me?" The southern accent drawled. Sage was surprised to hear a voice like that come out of one of the girls mouths. Beck. "I'd have your neck snapped and put on a plate for my Dog's dinner. And that's if he didn't turn his nose up at it." She said before turning back to the window. Sage nearly laughed before turning back to Dalton.
"So there you go." She raised her eyebrow back at him a little speechless at the girl's quick response before grabbing out a book from one of her deep pockets, dog eared and creased everywhere and began to read it from the beginning until the ride was over. Suddenly the ride didn't seem so long.
The van came smoothly to a halt and the driver opened the doors to a huge facility. They'd parked at the gate that was now shutting behind them as the kids stepped out met by Three Agents. Coulson being one of them.
"So you're all here. I'm glad." He began, now placing his hands behind his back . "Dalton, Sage,Everston,Beck, Kenndy, meet your head officers while you're here with the .P.U.G.S team. This is Agent Valemtine-" To which the Woman with a bob of black hair gave a small nod, but not much of one. It was more of a head action really, her hair made it look more than what it was. "-And Agent Connors." The man stood perfectly still. "You'll be assigned rooms here at Bunker Two and be trained with the best. Training begins tomorrow. Do you all understand."
"Sorry, Pug team?" Kennedy was the first to ask, finally piping up. Awkwardly carrying his chunky laptop, wires wound around in his hands. Coulson and the other agents turned to him but it was Valemtine that responded.
"P.U.G.S team. Practice Unit Groundwork Services. Welcome to the program."
