Once upon a time…no, no, that sounds so stupid. Every story starts out like that. How about…now, in the time that I'm living in, there was a girl (Me!) and a boy. They met once while walking the streets of Brooklyn. She was starving, looking for a place to stay, and he found her and took her into his home. He was the King of Brooklyn, but she had yet to find that out.
When he took her in, she had to work for him in order to ensure her residence at the home. Oh, I forgot to say, the 'home' is really the Newsie Lodging home for Runaway Boys in Brooklyn. Spot, the boy, runs it. He is the best newsie ever. She had to work for him as a newsie, selling newspapers on the streets. But anyway, on with the story, one night Spot and the girl (me again) shared a kiss. It was such an amazing kiss that it triggered feelings that neither of them had ever experienced before. It was love. And from then on, they were together. And they made each other happy. Happier than anyone could ever be.
