The first Valentine's Day she spent at school, she spent hours writing everyone's names on the little pink cards her mom had bought for her. In her best printing, she spaced each letter perfectly, even making one for Naruto. Iruka-sensei had made everyone promise that if they brought one for one person, they had to bring for everyone, and put as much care into the ones for the children that weren't their friends as the ones they made for their best friends.

In other words, Haruno Sakura was excited. Everyone had to give her cards, including Sasuke! She would marry him one day, she was sure of it. She also knew he had to give everyone cards, because she had heard him complaining to his older brother, who was kind of cute too.

And so, the big day came, and Sakura tied the ribbon in her hair with purpose. Today, she would be the prettiest girl there, and Sasuke-kun would have to fall in love with her!

They had made the Valentine's pouches the day before (they were SUPPOSED to be in the shape of a heart, but Naruto had made a bowl because (as he announced to the class) he wanted ramen instead), and Sakura was heartbroken as she saw how full Sasuke's was. She handed out all the rest of her cards, including hers for Naruto. She didn't even notice that no one else had bothered to give the blond anything. She passed the raven's desk, but the lonely little Valentine was slipped into her pocket. He wouldn't want it anyways.

Sitting back down at her desk, she dumped her cards out on the surface. She sorted through them, saving the little candies and reading all the silly little messages. Shikamaru's made her laugh (To: Classmate, From: Ugh), Kiba's was cute (To: Saku-chan, From: Kiba and Akamaru), Ino's was the usual (Keep Smiling girl! xoxo, Ino), and Choji's was sweet (quite literally, you could tell where the candy had been between his home and here).

But in the end, she threw out all but two, Sasuke's (Happy Valentine's Day, Love Sasuke), and Naruto's handmade one, even if the rhyme was wrong (Dear Sakura-chan, Your ribbon is red, My eyes are blue, There are many kinds of beauty, and you've got them Cutie!). Next year would be more special, she was sure of it.

When Sakura left, Naruto noticed she had dropped one of her Valentines. Scrambling over, he snatched it up before anyone else could. When he realized it was for Sasuke, he pouted. She was his Sakura-chan! But he knew she would be upset if the raven never got it, so he raced out the door.

"Oi! TEME! You dropped something!" The six year old yelled, not caring if he got a detention for the name he always called the duck-butt-haired bastard. Slowly, the other boy turned around, and Naruto shoved it in his hand before racing off.

Sasuke didn't understand. He had already gotten his Valentine from Naruto ( Oi! You're a bastard! I'll beat you up any day! Naruto, the awesome-est ninja EVER!), and this one was pink, and smelled faintly of cherries. Using his nail, he lifted the flower sticker sealing it together, and opened it up.

Dear Sasuke,

Happy Valentine's Day! Smile more, okay?

From Sakura.

Later, he would try to convince himself that he did what he did next because it said from, not love like all the rest of his fangirls, but either way, the little pink piece of paper ended up in Sasuke's pocket, when he was sure no one was looking.

A/N: Awwww! Anyways, I was going to write about Saku-chan breaking into his apartment later on, and finding it, but it wouldn't come out right. Besides, Sasuke totally took it with him to go see Orochimaru! (Riiighhht).

I know Valentine's Day was like four months ago, but the Valentines in Kaylee's classroom spit this piece of fluff in my head.
