This is my second story but this is just a oneshot. I always wanted a scene in the show where Robin visits Marian's room at the castle in series 3. But sadly there was not one so I decided to write it myself. I know episode 13 was filled with lots of fighting but just imagine that he had five minutes spare =]

Visiting Marian's Chamber.

Robin stepped out of the limelight and into the shadows. He needed just five minutes on his own to think. He made his way through the castle not really caring about his direction just as long as his feet were moving. He suddenly stopped as his memory reminded him of this familiar passage. He took a deep breath and entered the room before him.

It was quiet. Too quiet. The silence in the room nearly killed him. Usually if he came in here he would be smiling, thinking of something clever to say to his love.

Not today.

Robin walked further in, the room thankfully was untouched, it was just as Marian had left it. He was naturally drawn to the bed, why, he did not know but a cheeky thought entered his mind about his reasons. His smile quickly vanished as the thought that Marian would no longer chastise him for his charm entered his mind.

He lay down on the bed and turned onto his side. He instantly could smell her scent on the pillow, the strong smell of strawberries filled his nostrils. He smiled a tiny tear slide down the side of his cheek. How he wished that she would walk into the room this minute, more than likely in a mood because something was not right with the world. He loved her fiery temper.

Robin pulled his legs into his body and wrapped his arms around them. He took several breaths while he tried to calm himself. The last thing that he needed was to break down into tears; he had to lead the people out of this situation with Vasey and he could not do that if he was weak and vulnerable.

How the gang, the people and he were going to escape this, he did not know. He had cheated death one too many times and the situation outside the castle looked impossible to defeat. 'If Marian was here she would know what to do' he silently thought to himself. For the first time in a long time he did not have a plan, not even half a plan. He grumbled something inaudible and turned to lie on his back.

He needed his gang - his friends but most of all he needed Marian to help him. At that moment there was a small knock on the door and Much entered, "Master? Are you in here?"

Robin sighed once again, his voice was quiet and croaky, "Yes Much, I'm here." He inhaled his wives smell once more and reluctantly he got off the bed. He walked over to his friend patted him on the shoulder and with a quick glance behind him he continued out of the door.
